Interlaken is a town with international flair. The unique location of the youth hostel next door to Interlaken-Ost Railway Station and at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains offers boundless pleasure for adventurous guests. A train journey up to Jungfraujoch is one of the highlights of a trip through Switzerland. Jungfraujoch also boasts the highest railway station in Europe - at an altitude of 3,454 metres in a high-alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. The extensive ski areas with over 200 kilometres of pistes are also very popular in winter.
I have to say this is a world class youth hostel. Beautiful rooms. Ensuite availa Le. Clean. Smart Modern. Friendly. Good access via train to eiger. Great food and some of the best red wine I e ever had. A fabulous family holiday

Tripadvisor rated this 5/5 . In actuality I’d rate it 10/5. Initially hesitant on booking a hostel we were totally bowled over by the place. Immaculately clean, very close proximity to station & Coop. Spotless bathrooms, kitchen & dining room. Not to mention the stupendous view from the balcony. The owner/manager Frances was very kind, knowledgeable & helpful. Would go back there in a heartbeat- & this time just sit in the balcony & take in the views!!

No way to sleep here, too noisy. And bathrooms are smells not good and wet on the floor always.. Actually 2 people checked in midnight. You shouldn't be allowed to check-in at the midnight to wake up the other roommates. From 00:30-2:30 they were packing, talking, turning on lights, slamming doors, drying hair. They should be allowed to check in until 22:00 in the evening in a shared room. They would wake everyone up at dawn because they would come in making noise and then no one could go back to sleep.

Come there. It is worth it .. Real like the mountains, easy like Sundays and exciting like the Eiger north face: Welcome to the Eiger Lodge. Arrive. And stay. Because we offer what you are looking for: whether sociable rooms for groups or cozy rooms for those looking for peace and quiet. Come along. Into the mountains, into adventure: First we provide you with regional delicacies, then you look for space - on peaks, paths or our bar and grill area. Particularly good: Our lodge is located directly on the new Eiger Express train. We look forward to you!
It was very loud during the night - there were people partying despite signs to be quiet after 10 pm. Staff didn’t care much about noise. In my opinion COVID precautions were not sufficient, too many people without masks in the public spaces of the property. There is to mention the very good breakfast for the price and the good location close to the Terminal to get up to the skiing area.

It is a picturesque little hostel in a well maintained old building with all modern amenities . Reception desk is manned all the time with very helpful persons . Very peaceful. We stayed in the attic room with two beautiful windows which allow plenty of sunlight and excellent view of Meadows and mountains. Beds are comfortable with attached toilets. Switzerland does not provide shampoo and conditioner for hair as well as tooth paste. So it should be carried in your luggage . Any departmental store is very far off from this hostel. Buses are available to all direction. Roads are beautiful. Complimentary breakfast does not have many variety but it is satisfying fir those who love milk. Tea and coffee always available. I traveled with my daughter and we are satisfied with the amenities and view.

Staff did not wear masks indoor. Hostel at hotel prices. So loud that they have their own branded earplugs. Owners seem to just milk the cash cow and not invest much in maintenance or even renovation. Inadequate value for money, even considering the location.

Best of the Alps - have fun in the Grindelwald youth hostel! It is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable hostels in the Alps. The welcoming cosiness has remained, but modern bedrooms and practical facilities for groups and families have now been added. More than ever before, the youth hostel is a rendezvous for sport fans and young guests from all over the world who want to experience the impressive world of the mountains around Grindelwald.
One of the nicest hostel experiences i have had. the views are breathtaking and incredibly relaxing & peaceful both in the mornings whilst having breakfast (free with your booking) and in the afternoons after a long day of hiking/sightseeing etc. Whilst the dorm i stayed in was quite basic, the hostel overall is incredibly homely. there is a fire pit in the garden and a hot tub aswell. it was quite a surreal experience staying here and i will hopefully be back one day.

Find us between the Lütschine river and the Luterbach stream surrounded by the jaw dropping cliffs of Lauterbrunnen. Centrally located for adventures, this place offers an ideal location to go paragliding, BASE jumping, hiking, kayaking, and many more options. Chill out in the garden, play pool or ping pong, work out in the gym, watch a movie in our cinema, dance in our nightclub, there are so many things you can do!
Used the hostel services over the last few days. Great location and facility. Staff very friendly. Lively atmosphere which was in tune with the location. A very short walk to town and regular buses to take you up the valley. Definitely a plus plus recommendation

Please avoid, place does not care about the corona pandemic and the linked regulations by the government. Employees and guests do not wear any mask and seem not to care about other people. even though we made a phone call to assure corona conformity, the reality was not like expected. After discreetly complaining via email, the hotel does not show any understanding about the situation and does not acknowledge their misbehaviour. The hostels answer was unprofessional and unpleasant, since they did not go into the issues such as non-usage of masks by their employees. The indicating posters of "Masks mandatory" are therefore unnecessary.

Formerly the summer residence of an industrial family from Berne, Leissigen youth hostel is now a holiday oasis, offering stylish, comfortable rooms, many with lake view. The youth hostel "Albert Wander Haus" is situated in the idyllic little village of Leissigen, right on the Lake of Thun. There's plenty of space for children to play and for adults to relax in its wide open surroundings and on its pebble beach. An ideal location for family holidays. The youth hostel has a private beach.
This is a beautiful old house with lots of character, right on the lake shore. It has its own little beach and if the weather had been better, it would have been absolutely perfect. The staff were reall friendly and breakfast was good, just like in a small hotel.
