Home to some of the most significant historical sites of the 20th century, Berlin is a bustling international destination. A large city, many of Berlin's neighborhoods were in fact once independent towns. They were cobbled together to form the "Great Berlin" in 1920, and their town centers still reveal elements of this era. Today, nothing is more important to a Berliner than his or her "Kiez" (neighborhood) and the "Kiezleben" (life in the neighborhood). From the loud, wild, artsy, and young streets of Neukolln to the family-friendly avenues of Prenzlauer Berg to the quiet and sophisticated corners of Charlottenburg, Berlin's neighborhoods have something for everyone.

BIG MAMA Berlin is located in the heart of the city. Berlin-Mitte is one of the most exciting districts with a variety of possibilities such as shopping, dining, sightseeing and a vibrant nightlife. Because of its central location BIG MAMA Berlin is an ideal basis for excursions to all the different parts of Berlin. At our house you can feel the pulse of the multicultural city!
The Hotel Big Mama is an incredible value in terms of its rooms and in a really cool area with beautiful places to walk by a lovely canal. They have a Hour Hour and full bar, have breakfast and delicious coffee. But, without exception, they have the kindest most helpful staff I have encountered anywhere in the world. As a single woman, non-German speaker my first time in Berlin during the times of COVID, I had a lot of anxiety about everything from where to get my Covid test to fly home, to safety about walking. Every staff member made me feel welcome, was incredibly helpful, and was a unique and interesting person to get to meet and connect with. There is nothing more important when you are staying somewhere you don't know than feeling you are valued and can make connections with people. I am deeply grateful to the staff at Hotel Big Mama for making me feel at home. A huge shout out in particular to Marlen, Mila, Joanne and Walid-- THANK YOU for making my stay in Germany a welcome one and taking such good care of me.

Says such a lot that this is the top rated hotel under €150 a night in Berlin on Booking.com, when my son and I paid €35 a night for both of us. Shared bathroom and shower, but both immaculately clean, and somehow very cosy feeling.. Kitchen and Utensils (including fridge freezer) which saved us a lot of money. Even a dishwasher! Vending and (cheap) coffee machines, and great location: 5 minutes walk from Frankfurter Tor U Bahn. Room was SO cosy, both me and my son slept very well on good beds. I think we mainly slept well though because the vibe is so good. Place also feels quite new. Tastefully decorated room, with TV and fan (No air con) and delightful curtains and blinds. Excellent Wi Fi, and good plug socket in our room.. All in all, wonderful! We'll be back as soon as we can. Dan.

тихий отель. Не дорого, уютно. Хороший wi-fi Жаль, нет завтрака, но не далеко до центра района , там всё есть. А можно заказать в номер пиццу ? Мебель стиль ретро, но всё исправно. Хозяева русскоязычные.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment (oscar) at number 8. It was a little old fashioned but had a fridge, microwave and toaster and the beds were fine. Very close to a large supermarket also trams and u bahn. Only issue we had was that a leg collapsed on one of the beds, but it was fixed the next day. Towels were also a bit threadbare.

This place is crap! first, the staff is rude and racist. Moreover, they asked for 50 euro as a deposit and many other issues. Finally, I contacted the police to get away from them! I strongly do not recommend going there even though it is cheap, note that they may rip you off from another way around!

The Gasthaus is situated on the grounds of the Police/Fire training academy, but is formerly a barracks of one of the old Berlin garrisons. We used the Gasthaus as our starting point for a tour and hiking vacation in the Czech Republic. My daughter was finishing a school session in Berlin, so the Gasthaus provided a secure location with free parking for our rental car and luggage while we toured the city for a few days. The S-bahn station is a 10 minute walk from the room and there are several restaurants and food markets nearby. The proprietress was charming and friendly, breakfast was superb!
