Local, down home BBQ restaurant founded by the award-winning KCBS team, Redneck Scientific. Good BBQ, good people, good service. Monthly specials, Cheerwine on tap and slow smoked pork, ribs, chicken and brisket.
This is a place that we found only because of TripAdvisor. It is attached to a gas station, but do not be deterred. The BBQ was quite good and the sides were terrific. I had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and a side of baked beans. The pulled pork was served dry and not drenched in sauce, but there were several sauces on the table for me to use. Quite tasty. The baked beans were good. My wife had the chili dog which she loved and the Jalapeno mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was outstanding!
Definitely worth a stop along 95.

Benson finally has a new restaurant. Cornerstone Cafe & Coffee is also located in Coats, NC. We loved it in Coats and now we are loving it in Benson. The best waffles you will ever taste. Everything they make is very fresh. And it is all served by a very caring waitstaff. You will love this place!

Southern Style/ Countryside Restaurant Sits in a small community known as MEADOW or MEADOW CROSS ROADS right off Interstate 40 Country Style Buffet at LUNCH Seafood Buffet at DINNER Homemade Desserts Bar Ice Cream Bar
While visiting family near Benson, NC; we visited the Meadow Village Restaurant for dinner. The food was very good, the fish and seafood was really good. The deserts were fabulous!!! The only problem is that you eat way too much. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit! I’d certainly recommend it!

Coming up North on Interstate 95 is a sign that states NC's best burgers. The outside does not look like much; however, when you get in it looks like a cross between Steak N Shake and Five Guys (without the Peanuts). The color scheme borrows from the Malt shops of the 1950's. Also, some kind of old-fashioned swing type music was playing.
This is not exactly fast food as all meals are cooked to order (just like Five Guys). The place has a local feel with bulletin boards that support local businesses and local kids artwork. The place seems to be equally frequented by tourists and locals. It is always a good sign when locals frequent a place. Some of the decor needs updating (there was a patched up piece of drywall unpainted).
The food itself was of good quality and the staff are friendly

Est.2002, Local, family owned & operated. Farm to table, diner bread baked on premise. We use fresh quality ingredients & take pride in our food. All orders are made when ordered, please allow the time. Carlo & Johanna are the owners.
I live nearby, so we've been here many times. In short, great Italian food. The pizzas, subs, calzones, chicken parmesean, all Excellent. Place is fairly small, and often a bit chaotic. But well worth it. Weekend nights get pretty busy.
Lots of locals go here. If you're looking for good Italian food in the McGees' Crossroads area, you won't go wrong here.

Visited this restaurant on a recommendation from our hotel concierge. My husband had enchiladas and I had chalupas. I eat Mexican a lot while my husband is new to it but we both were more than pleased with our meals. The food was flavourful, traditional, and well-presented. The portions were incredibly generous and the margarita I had was nothing short of fantastic! The complimentary salsa was delicious and the guacamole we ordered to complement the chips was equally good. Can't say enough about this place. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

Food was served quickly and fresh. Restaurant was very clean and staff friendly. We happened in there at a very busy time, however, the wait time was almost nil.

The food was very good. A large country style barbecue plate and for approximately $12.00 you can leave there filled up. The staff was very pleasant. This is one of the places I would not mind going back to.
