Smaller and more intimate than popular resort areas such as San Ignacio and Belize City, the modest capital of Belmopan is nonetheless a vibrant city surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife. Next to the bustling Market Square, Independence Plaza is home to the prime minister's offices, various pedestrian pathways and the National Assembly Building, designed to resemble a Mayan temple. Outside the city lay the spectacular Guancaste Park as well as the astonishing Hummingbird Highway.

Pasquales Pizza & Ultimate Wings is a Family owned business in Belmopan offering the BEST PIZZA in our area. Freshly made with local quality ingredients, fresh salads, sub-sandwiches, burgers, wings and pasta and also breads. We take pride in offer quality meals to our customers!
We were last here in July and things were as good as usual. On our recent visit in late December, we picked up our usual pizza. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the brownies they promised to save for us when we called the day before.
Something has changed - we heard that it may have different owners. Anyway, the pizza crust is different. It used to be thin and almost cracker-like and really good. This time, it was slightly thicker and tasteless. Overall, we would say that the pizza is not as flavourful.
Maybe we hit an off day. We will be willing to try it again on our next visit.

Corkers is a small, open air bar/restaurant. It varies from all the others in the quality of food and drink they offer. I've had several meals there, all of which were excellent. The proprietors source their ingredients so that they serve the best- wonderful steaks (even in Belize!) and chicken and burgers. What they can't get to their satisfaction they don't serve. They have draft beer, but also a pineapple/spinach/cucumber juice that tastes WAY better than it sounds! The atmosphere is either quiet or boisterous, depending on who came for lunch or dinner- the service is great and the food is worth it. Enjoy!

An open air patio style restaurant with surrounding Gardens. In the geographic center of the country, close to the Belize Zoo, Ziplining, Cave Tubing, Canoeing, and Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. We do small groups or large. À la carte menu. We do buffets on request for groups.Seats: 150
Great service and food, especially the watermelon juice! Entertained by the hummingbirds that were feeding at the feeders.
We also spent a night at the Cabanas on sight. While the room was clean and as advertised, we were turned off by the distinct musty odor when entering the room. With the AC on throughout the night, the smell dissapated.

We stopped here on account of other reviews, and I am so glad we did. As others have stated, instant coffee is sometimes served in Belize. The lattes that we had here were one of the best we have had..both here in Belize and in the US. It was so smooth and rich! We also had breakfast and fresh pineapple juice which were also delicious. Highly recommend this place!

We were there with a group of about 30. We had placed out orders that morning so that they would not be over whelmed when we arrived and to also speed up the process. In the restaurant that evening there was our group and a group inside that was also around 20. We got our drink quickly, but the food was a different story. The first food arrived at 8:20pm and the final meal was brought out the our table at 9:30 So more than half our group had eaten and waited about 45 minutes before that last people got their food. The food was good, and everyone liked it, but if the wait is like that we would not go back. My husband and I got the roasted lamb. The meat was tender and juicy, but I was not that fond of the seasonings they used, my husband liked it fine.

My husband and I are house sitting near Belmopan for a month and came upon Caladium one day when we were seeking an air-conditioned dining spot.
What a discovery. Since then, we have been back three times and plan to continue visiting as it's the best food we've eaten. We've only had lunch there but every dish has been simply delicious - fish burger, soy burger, chicken dishes, tuna sub and a couple of others I forget. Today I indulged in dessert and the lemon glazed cake was also delicious so I'm planning to indulge a little more.
The staff at Caladium is professional and friendly and everything about it is excellent in our books.

I was really well received. The owner of the place made an effort not only to serve us a meal but also to guide us.

Shekar's is a staple of the Belmopan food scene - and for good reason. With delicious and authentic North and South Indian cuisine made to mix and match to your taste at reasonable rates, there is no way you can go wrong, and equally no reason not to give a try once you're in town.

Decked in exotic greenery, the dining room evokes the restaurant's surrounding jungle with amazing views to the Mountains. It is situated on the second and third floor of Sleeping Giant's main building. The second deck hosts the bar plus a balcony and dining area. The third floor hosts breakfast and dinner main sitting area. It's a spacious yet intimate setting that creates a romantic ambiance with exquisite food presentations that taste as delicious as they look. The Grove House by Chef Adan offers North American & Belizean inspired cuisine using top local and organic ingredients. The wonderfully decorated lounge invites you to enjoy Sleeping Giants' selection of wines, drinks and cool tropical cocktails.
The food is amazing! It's fresh, tasty and just overall satisfying. The tostadas are a little difficult to eat, so I would suggest going with all the pasta dishes. Especially the spicy pepita pasta. I wouldn't even know how anyone could complain about this place. Everything is just spot on and the people are super friendly and very talkative.
