An authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian restaurant situated in the landmark MetLife Building at Grand Central Terminal at East 45th Street, Naples 45 offers al fresco dining in the warmer months and Italian specialties with friendly take-out service and gourmet brick-oven slices to go. Naples 45 was awarded the coveted certification of "La Vera Pizza Napoletana"—one of only three such awards in New York City—in recognition of serving authentic Neapolitan pizza made with traditional ingredients, methods, and wood-burning ovens.
Don't go downstairs below Grand Central. There is a better alternative on the Vanderbilt side in 200 Park Avenue. I've been coming here for years and returned there last week. What I like about Naples is thin crust pizza, the separate dining area as well as the takeout and dining areas, which serve a variety of pasta selections. Service is always fast and the price of dining reasonable.

There seems to be a new team in place or maybe ownership. NIce people but the service was slow. The worse part was, the food is different. My favorite hot open Turkey sandwich is now Turkey roll with warm gravy. So sad to see this happen here.
Please bring back the old food and chef.

Their burgers are simple and delicious, cheese, pickles, fine diced onions on a seeded bun, the flavor of the beef is really good so you don't need to do much. The line can look intimidating like you'd be waiting forever but there are actually 4 lines open and you wont be waiting long. I've never waited longer then 5 minutes. Be aware that it is cash only. I suggest parking on the street or across in the parking lot to eat the burgers while they are hot.

Restaurant is new; staff is welcoming; flavors are extraordinary and the place is very comfortable. Good spot!
Came from the North Shore to check this eatery out cause many have recommended it to me over the years. All dishes were different, tasty, had a different spin on it. Most dishes are not slenderizing & will fill you up. Salads & lighter meals are offered too. Good service & unusual cocktails. I will come back again perhaps to eat at the bar. The acoustics are poor here as you can’t hear yourself talking at the tables. Open walled kitchen is always nice to see for cleanliness & restrooms were clean & impressive. I recommend this eatery.

I forgot our waitress' name. But she was great. We ate their on a Friday night but around 5. We were seated right away. It is small so tables I am sure fill up quickly. It looks like you can eat outside there was a patio with tables and a heater. It was not opened when we were there. My husband and I wanted a quick meal since our son was down the block at a movie party. We had the studded mushrooms for an appetizer. They were so good. I ordered pasta with shrimp and mushrooms and my husband had the carbonara. Could not ask for anything better. Bread came with the meal and we were asked many times if we wanted more. Price is right.

The portions are huge! The gelato is homemade and very rich. The menu has everything from eggs to Mexican entrees, burgers, salads, calves liver.
My husband and daughter had lunch here today. My daughter and I spilt the French burger—burger with Munster cheese, ham on French bread with sweet potato fries. We had to split to save room for dessert. My husband had the Rio Burger with salsa, avocado and pepper jack cheese. He got a chocolate chip gelato in a chocolate waffle cone bowl and we split the Belgium waffle sundae with chocolate elephant gelato.

The food at Santorini is old style traditional Greek. The food is excellent and the restaurant is a casual easy place to enjoy dinner.

All yours to savor in our stylishly casual dining room, along with contemporary cocktails, decadent desserts and just-right service. All the makings of a Manhattan hot spot without the Manhattan prices! And we’re nearby, only a few steps north of the Wantagh train station.
My husband and I dined at Thom Thom last Saturday evening with another couple. We had an early reservation, 6:15, so the place was almost empty. Everything should have been perfect, but it was not. We had eaten at this restaurant once before, but it was many years ago. We did not recall much about it, and the friends with whom we dined moved close to Wantagh and made the reservation. We were fine with trying it again so many years later.
The decor was pleasant enough. The bar, upon leaving, we noticed looked like a decent scene with a nice atmosphere.
We were seated immediately. My husband ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and sent it back. He is not a very particular eater/drinker overall, and he found it to be a bad selection. He thought it had turned, I just thought it was a crappy wine...not certain which one, but neither is a good situation for a wine drinker.
My husband ordered a sushi roll from the chef's special section of the menu, the crazy tuna. He did not find it to be special at all. For $17, a roll should be somewhat special. He ate it, but did not think it was very good. He eats sushi at times, from Wild By Nature supermarket. He said this was pretty much in line with that! Sad, really.
I ordered two salads, as the server said the salad portions were not large enough to act as an entree. I had one as an appetizer and one for dinner. I had the apple and gorgonzola for a starter and enjoyed it. I ordered the grilled romaine salad as an entree. I decided to have grilled shrimp added, as the server suggested a protein add on. That was a big mistake. Although the salad was pretty good, the shrimp were not. I am getting wise in my old age, I guess, as instead of trudging through, I sent the shrimp back immediately. Why pay for overly salty shrimp with a weird consistency? Obviously, these were inferior quality shrimp.
My friend had the grilled shrimp entree. She ate much of it, but did complain about the shrimp too. She is generally easy to please and does not like to make a fuss. After several glasses of wine, she does not care too much as she just wants to eat dinner. Her standards for wine are fairly simple as well..if it is an Italian Pinot Grigio, she is happy. She got that at Thom Thom.
She and her husband shared the calamari appetizer and seemed to enjoy it. Her husband had the petite filet mignon and seemed pleased with that as well. He is a small eater so the size was good for him.
My husband ordered chicken caprese, which I believe was on the special list. He was underwhelmed at best.
Our server was very nice and helpful, but aside from that, the four of us agreed that Thom Thom is only So So.
