Good hotel in strategic location
Reviewed By smbjmnI stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and this hotel is one of those with easiest access anywhere around Bekasi city. Aston is located right at the exit of motorway that connects smaller towns of Bekasi and the capital, so the location is just right. There is a mall attached to the building (as well as opposite) for alternative food choices. Booking was easy, You can do it straight from Aston’s website. No credit card required for the booking, however there is a policy that bookings will be automatically cancelled if guests do not show up by 3 pm. So I emailed the office to inform about my late arrival and it was sorted right away. Check-in was fast, although I was a bit surprised to the norm of paying in advance in cash. As I just arrived in the country, I wasn’t quite prepared to have a big amount of Rupiahs in my wallet, however you can always pay with credit card. Staff was polite and helpful. Room was clean and hotel provides antibacterial gel stations everywhere in the hotel. Enough water pressure in the shower and standard toiletries were given in the bathroom. Hotel did not give face/hand towel. Bed was comfortable. My room was facing the city so you could see beautiful city lights when the day turns dark. I was a bit conerned with AC as I read quite a lot of reviews on how the room’s AC did not work, but I did not experience that. My room temperature was perfect at 23 deg celcius. The only drawback was the outside revving noises from downstairs traffic that starts around midnight onwards, and I could hear it clearly even though I was on the 12th floor. I did not have any problem sleeping though, as I always wear a noise cancelling headset, but I presume this could be a problem for other guests who do not have that habit. TV channels options are limited. This hotel is popular for local tourists/family (staycation) as well as conference venue, so be prepared to see breakfast rush in peak hours. As hotel sets breakfast tables for larger groups, it was a bit difficult to find seats when you are a solo traveller. I sat on a table of 8 together with a group of males (conference participants) to eat and it was very awkward due to the lack of privacy. Local dishes were more prominent in the breakfast but continental variety was good too. I read a review saying that hotel also provides Indonesian traditional drinks/jamu, but I did not see it in the 2 breakfasts when I was there. Will I be back next time I come to the country/city? Sure, why not.

Old and Noisy.
Reviewed By Leong TOld, noisy and untidy is the description of this hotel. It should not be star rated. The room, although stated as non smoking, is choked with cigarette smell. The towers had worn edges, and the bedsheets are greyish. Further more, you can hear traffic noises throughout the night. Honking and roaring whole night. Not a good experience. Room price is not worth the quality. I checked out after one night. This may be the worst in the Amaris chain.
