This place is absolutely amazing. It's definitely a humble environment, but the food is nothing short of spectacular from the appetizers to the entrees, and even the desert. It's about an hour drive from where I live, but I plan on going there quite more frequently. However, be prepared to eat A LOT!

I have went to this place 2 times. Each time, I found that the inside was dirty and service has been slow. Not enough parking area. Hard to get in and out.

US roads today bypass so many towns means hidden gems are left to the locals. Luckily we're smart enough to know better and found this wonderful restaurant today. Huge portions, wonderful service and great souls and homemade salad dressing started a wonderful meal. Would absolutely recommend taking the diversion- there were almost no spaces to park in.

I rode with my husband during the week as he made some business rounds in South Texas. We stopped in Beeville for lunch. I found Sammy's on Trip Advisor. You walk in and place your order at the counter. The nice lady explained everything since it was our first time there. She gave us a number to put on our table and our drinks. We sat at the bar since the place was pretty crowded. It was lunch time on a Wednesday. They have picnic style seating...people sharing tables. The bar area was immaculate. Usually sticky and stinky, but not here. Our burgers were delivered to us and I got the sour dough bun burger with provolone cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, grilled jalapeños, mayo and homemade fries. I'd eat this every time (might add grilled mushrooms)! My husband got a hamburger with the all the main veggies and ate half my fries.
Great place. Definitely recommended!!

We had a great lunch. My husband had spaghetti with meat sauce and I had stuffed shells! Soooo good! The rolls were warm and yummy. We will for sure be returning!

I love to order the Mix Beef Fajita with cheese melted on the Fajita. The little salad with re-fried bean makes a great meal!

My plate was good great seasoning on the steak and delicious rice and charro beans but the Buffett looked old and nasty, restrooms somehow clean I guess good if nothing better to do .

I love to eat at this restaurant because it's a buffet but I enjoyed it more whenever I ordered online to the house. This restaurant do not offer delivery but the online meal are prepared better than the buffet and it's slightly expensive than the buffet. I will surely go back here!

It's true that El Charro doesn't have great parking, but they do have a drive-through, an excellent menu, and lots of the local atmosphere. I always try to have at least one meal here when I come to town. Solid and cheap eats!!!
