A good diner is worth it's weight in fry grease. I say this tongue in cheek but honestly. As a professional culinarian and retired chef, Country Boy knows what to do and executes it properly.
My wife and I and another couple had booked adjoining campsites at Farragut SP in Athol. Our tradition is we all meet up for breakfast on the day of departure. This year our friends continued easterly and we were to return west. Country Boy was in our sights as the location of choice. And there's a darned good reason for it - they know what they're doing.
While the prices, I believe, are a tad high for diner breakfast, you do get your value on the plate and in service. So, for those reasons I do not dock them at all. I had two eggs, griddle fried corned beef hash (canned), rye toast and hash browns with the optional grilled onions and peppers. Two or three cups of coffee completed my meal. That was actually more than I could finish at about $10.00.
My wife had a ham and egg muffin, the friends had a plate of HUGE pancakes and I can't remember what she had, but it filled her plate and was pretty stacked. Nobody had complaints about the portions, taste or service.
Good job, folks. Well recommended.

Slow night, great and friendly service, monday night football in September. Super view of the bay, outdoor seating, lots of seating indoors, The fish and chips had good flavor, but the crust is a bit firm, a little hard on the roof of my mouth. Fries were good, slaw watery. Drunken Sailor drink flavorful. Free Wifi which is nice because Bayview is in a connection vacuum. Prices reasonable. I wish their full dumpster was hidden, gross.

Good food, good service, good prices, friendly atmosphere. If you want local information, just ask. Lots of photos on walls, Bayview history.

The kids loved their just-right-sized hot chocolates and I loved my aero-brewed coffee (Careywood Blend). Great, friendly service. Comfortable environment. Coffee by the pound well priced (and brews excellently in my perc maker). We will be getting coffee from them regularly.

What a pleasant surprise! Our family was looking for a lunch spot that had outdoor seating (dog friendly) and a couple of locals suggested this place. It had just had its soft opening. Staff was very helpful- even moved a table from inside to outside in the shade to accommodate 4 adults, 2 kids, and one golden retriever. While you could tell it was a new place and still getting organized, the staff handled it with a good sense of humor and a laid back grace. Food was great! The Cuban sandwich was fantastic, great burgers, and the ABLT was yummy! During our stay in the area we came back to enjoy 2 more lunches and one amazing breakfast ( Oh! Duh! It's called Brunches!). The biscuits and gravy were great ( and I'm kind of a gravy snob) and the pork verde skillet was out of this world! They even comp'd my 13 year old sons banana crepes when they learned it was his birthday. Nice people and great food. Eat here!

Small town service with a smile. Very friendly. Not an extensive menu, but good comfort food. We were there on a Wednesday, so missed the prime rib, but the rest was above average...except for the desert pies which seemed store bought and would have been better had they been heated up to go with the ice cream. Last year we did anniversary at Beverley's in CDA; this was better (except for the views and $150 cheaper. We'll return.

Very hospitable waitress. Goes out of the way in service. Food was served hot, fresh, and in reasonable time. A new business that is attempting to be great. I look forward to another visit.

Excellent pizza for a very small town! Pick up baked or bake at home, eat in or delivered locally. We have picked up baked pizza here to take to the lake for an easy dinner!

As seen on Food Network, gourmet wine and dinner experiences for discerning clientele... we offer reservation-only, 8-10 course, prix fixe menus of unique, elegant dishes, complete with wine pairings from our award-winning 4200 bottle wine cellar, in a tranquil, mountain setting. This is a unique, full dining experience that will not soon be forgotten! Casual Elegance!
We happened across Candle in the Wood as a guest invitation from friends. What a fabulous surprise. Chef David Adlard prepared a dinner which you would normally experience at a five star restaurant. Appetizers of Asparagus in Prosciutto with Chevre and Huckleberry jam, Tuna Poke and savory Mousse Cornets along with tuna tartare and Crostini. This was followed by Ravioli in a Sambuca cream with a giant prawn, perfectly prepared Lamb with endive salad. The main even was Tuscan Pork with Faberge potatoes with a dessert of Rhubarb soufflé with crème anglais. Each had a presentation which equaled any top restaurant rival. It was no surprise for me to later discover the chef was seen on Food Network and a winner of Wine Spectator award for excellence. Any time I am anywhere near the area, I will call ahead to guarantee a place at the table with chef Adlard.
