The northern French town of Bayeux is best known for the eponymous tapestry that depicts the 11th-century Norman Conquest. You can see it, of course, on display at the Bayeux Tapestry Museum. The cloth’s original home was the Bayeux Cathedral, which still towers over the area, looking a bit like a Gothic wedding cake. Inside you’ll find beautifully detailed murals and haunting crypts. Bayeux makes an excellent jumping off point to tour nearby historic WWII sites.

Noble property of the 18th century right in the heart of Bayeux, 15 minutes from D-Day beaches. Hotel Tardif was successively the residence of a royal botanist from Versailles and the Army Minister of Napoleon. Private car park, park, terrace and heat pool. Peaceful and comfortable. Period furnishing
The owner and staff of this hotel have done everything to ensure a high quality, welcoming stay to all their guests. The hotel is full of charm with updated beautiful rooms. The breakfast dining room is full of beautiful place settings, fresh homemade food, and a fabulous hostess to take care of your needs. Bayeux is a very walkable town filled with great shops and restaurants. The cathedral and museums are well worth a visit. My daughter and I traveled around France and Italy over 10 days and this was one of our very favorite places we stayed. We hope to be able to come back someday.

Art Deco villa built in 1937, right in historic center of Bayeux next to train station, museums, restaurants and place du Quebec (tours pick up place). We have several rooms with Cathedral view and private balcony or terrace. Bayeux is a beautiful city a few miles to the d-day beaches (10 minutes). Staying at Bayeux is a good choise to be near all the most beautiful sights of Normandy: Mont Saint Michel, Honfleur, Saint Malo, Caen, Deauville, ... We are also at 2:30 hours to Paris. Bayeux is between Paris and Mont Saint Michel. We hope to see you soon at home... Elen & Christophe
Great hotel in an excellent location to explore Bayeux from. The room we had was on the second floor at the rear with views across the car park towards the tapestry museum. Breakfast was excellent and the friendly service made us feel very much at home.

Due to Covid we had to postpone our trip to Bayeux. For Myriam from Aggarti this was not a problem and we could easily rebook. A few months later we had a great stay. Nice hotel, all Covid measures were in place and Myriam was a wonderfull host and always with a smile.

We stayed a few nights in August 2014. It is absolutely typical of rural France and the owners, Eric and Florence are hospitable and helpful but at the same time happy to let you do your own thing. We will certainly stay with them again.

Calm and peace are the most important words at the Naomath, comfortable "longre" of the "bessin," restored with authenticity, full with charm, near Bayeux the medieval historical city and the D-day beaches. Open all year. English and Italian spoken. Our family b&b on ground floor can receive 4 persons. The vast living room of relaxation is exclusively reserved for our guests. It includes TV and refrigerator. Breakfast is served in the living room with a superb view on the garden. The room annexed to the living room is composed with a bed for 2 persons, 2 beds for 1 person. A washbasin space is also present. The bathroom annexed to the living room has a shower, another washbowl and wc.
This hotel it is very untrustable. We made a reservation and the owner Natalie never comply with the reservation because she said we came late (not true) after 19.00 hs. She said that we have to check in between 17.00 and 19.00 hs. I never heard such a thing. She left and leave nobody at the reception so we had to rent a room in another hotel to sleep. It never happened to me . DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE NOT WORTH OT. The place it is shamble, not worth the money.

stayed 4 nights at this picturesque chateau, wanted the real French Chateau experience, it was really good the place looks great and gardens are lovely in a quiet road , but not too far from the Normandy sights. Our room was great, big windows tall ceilings, great comfortable bed, our child was on a camp bed though at the end of ours, nice bathroom with shower, no bath , creaky floorboards added to the authenticity. Our host Vincent was welcoming and made fabulous Breakfasts, great selection. Its close to Bayeux, which is fantastic. My one issue was evening meals you had to drive out nithing was close by. Most places required reservations. We got turned away several nights, French drink drive laws are tight so no drinking we booked a place last couple of nights so that was okay . Value for money yes 4 stars

We got the superior deluxe double room and it was very nice. It was outside of the main structure in its own private building with a gate. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. I would say there were a couple of things we didn't like, but most of it we loved. The pillows were really small, there weren't any outlets near the mirrors (which we're only in the bathroom), and because we were on the main floor, we kept feeling like we couldn't open the windows without the possibility of people watching us. All in all though, we had a lovely stay. The receptionist helped carry our luggage to our room. Really nice. But I would think about changing those couple things to make it seamless.
