Obere Firstalm is about an hours drive from Munich. This time of the year (winter) it's a great spot to hike up the hill, have a meal, and sledge down :)Although the place was packed the service was unusually friendly. Prices are as in any other biergarten: radler/beer ca â¬4.5, goulash soup â¬5.7, apple strudel â¬4.7.We didn't even bother looking for a table inside and chose from lots of free tables outside. View is spectacular!And after a meal we all sledged down the hill :) Good fun.

We stopped at Gindelalm 2 on our 7-hours hike, hungry and a little exhausted. Whereas the location and the view significantly improved our rest, the food was only mediocre. The bread was more like an average store bought bread and even the simplest soups tasted not self-made (but Knorr or Maggi soup basis). We were a little disappointed, as the location could be so awesome if it'd have a proper, simple but delicious menu. It doesn't need twenty dishes (as it is currently) but just a few properly executed ones with high quality local produce (which definitely exists in that region)...

GroÃes Lob für eine tolle Leistung! Stilvolles Ambiente, sehr liebevoll bis ins kleinste Detail von den Inhabern eingerichtet, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, hervorragendes Essen und tolle Weine. Das Licht und die Geräuschkulisse sind angenehm. Es wird groÃen Wert auf Sauberkeit (auch auf den Toiletten), guten Service und Perfektion gelegt.Schöne Lage mitten in Schliersee. Es gab nichts Negatives an diesem Abend. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch im Seyfrieds, der sicher nicht zu lange auf sich warten lassen wird.

Vom Bodenschneidhaus aus hat man - schon beim Aufstieg von Neuhaus aus - einen wunderbaren Blick auf das umliegende Mangfallgebirge. ABER: Selten so unfreundliche und überforderte Wirtsleute erlebt, die die Gäste bei der Bestellung von Speisen und Getränken (Selbstbedienung) permanent schwach anreden. Ja, an einem schönen Sonntag ist dort oben viel los, aber viele Gäste konsumieren auch viel und bringen guten Umsatz. Und die Frage nach einem AV-Essen (schlieÃlich ist das Haus eine Alpenvereins-Hütte) wurde mit groÃem Erstaunen und dann mit "haben wir jetzt nicht, müsste erst gekocht werden" beantwortet worden. Die vielen Verbotsschilder überall tragen zusätzlich auch nicht zum Wohlfühlen bei. Fazit: woanders ist es viel schöner und gemütlicher.
