Das Watami ist nett eingerichtet. Die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich.Bestellt wird mit einem Tablet am Tisch. Funktioniert richtig gut.

Manjo

We foolishly decided to walk from the centre of town, and it was really a bit far, especially as the journey was along two main roads.Upon arrival we were greeted well, and the service was reasonable in general, albeit that the staff were rather subdued. The food was pretty good, with somethings (especially the starters) being really superb. The only let-down was the dessert -- flambéed ice-cream, and cheap ice-cream at that (definitely not home made) -- not exactly authentic Japanese. It is all prepared in front of the diners, who sit in a semi-circle around a large steel hot-plate. Unlike may of these cook in front of you restaurants, I did not go home smelling of food (incredible considering the amount of garlic frying that was going on).The restaurant offers fixed-price menus, which as pretty good. They do, however, include dessert, so going "off-piste" may not be a bad idea. The decor of the restaurant was a little dated, and it could do with a re-furb as it's starting to look a little tatty. We enjoyed the meal all in, but as it's not cheap, it's not a must-go-to destination.
