Find out what Deli restaurants to try in Nuremberg. With half a million people, Nuremberg is Bavaria's second largest city. While its history dates to the 11th century, Nuremberg is most often linked to the 20th century (specifically World War II). It first served as the site of many pre-war Nazi rallies, then was nearly leveled by Allied bombing, then was the site of the famous post-war Nuremberg Trials. The city has much to offer today's visitors, including the rebuilt Nuremberg Castle and the world-famous gingerbread at Hauptmarkt. Hansel and Gretel would have loved this place.

This was our second visit. The food was very tasty once again and the location is very attractive - in the old town. The waitress we had was very nice and friendly. The food was very tasty and good quality - I would go back.Dear retro46, thank you very much for your visit again and the nice tripadvisor.com review. Local inn , 10 minutes walk (or tram stop: SchweiggerstraÃe) south of the old town of Nuremberg with Frankish coziness and regional cuisine and beverages . The house specialty is the Franconian Schäufele ( roast pork on bones with potato dumpling and grav
We had dinner reservations, because as tourists we discovered that the highly rated restaurants can be full. My friend wanted hearty German food, where the locals eat and this was the place. Three of us ordered the half order of pork shoulder and it was plenty of food. They were kind enough to substitute fried potatoes for the potato dumplings. The other friend had a large plate of schnitzel with potato salad. The walnut ice cream was a perfect dessert, and again they let my husband substitute the raspberry topping for the egg nog. Very reasonable and take credit cards.

Winebar, colt meat, small dishes, no classic Italian restaurant.
Really enjoyed our evening here! Had some great antipasti (they do not serve warm dishes) different hams, awesome cheese (Truffel pecorino was soo great!!), buffalo mozzarella cream cheese, salami and vegetables. They serve some nice wines and we tried different red wines. Not all of them were great but some highlights in the assortment. The olive oil was simply perfect and difficult to get within Germany. The people are really nice and helpful. they explain were the different items are from if you ask. They should explain them as a standard in my opinion (room for improvement)We will be back for sure!
