Find out what International restaurants to try in Bamberg. Like Rome, Bamberg sits on seven hills, though these are lush, green Bavarian ones. You’ll find all sorts of architecture here, so enjoy exploring the cobbled streets. Plenty of shopping and museums await you, as do nine different breweries. The city loves markets and festivals, especially around Christmas.

Nice Restaurant, good food, friendly service. Great value - very reasonably priced. This place is in the center of town and close to all the tourist places. Nice and covered biergarten in the back.

The La Villa restaurant in Bamberg is characterised by a successful combination of Mediterranean lightness and classic elegance. Choose from an a la carte or set menu or enjoy a light business lunch at midday. Our chef combines seasonal specialities with
This lovely, quiet spot attached to a luxury hotel with a small river-side garden offers for lunch a limited but exquisite and healthy menu. Just minutes by foot from tourist hot-spot Altes Rathaus, it's a hidden gem with excellent service. (Dinner seems to have a full menu - our visit was Sunday lunch.)

We spotted the Henrii from the bridge and headed over to have a drink at their long high table and watch the sun go down.We had a very helpful waiter who spoke excellent English and helped us with our wine choices a glass of pinot blanc and one of Riesling, both good and excellent value, we enjoyed the setting so much we had another glass.

I´ve been here several times and always had a good experience. Located just off the main street of the pedestrian zone (Grüner Markt) it´s quite central. They have a good variety of sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads and soups. Waitstaff are always quite friendly. Service is great, especially given how busy it can be! As someone else mentioned, they have amazing specials. I had dinner there last week and had a chicken wrap, one beer, and a (generous portion) side salad. I was shocked when my bill came to less than â¬10. It was happy hour for certain menu items and I had no idea. My rather large wrap was less than â¬5. It´s also a rather pretty restaurant, and a great place to sit outside and people watch in the warmer weather. For those traveling or visiting alone, Cafe Esspress offers a large variety of magazines to read.

Cafe Abseits is the best place in Bamberg for tasting German beer. You can drink around 60 different types of beer i.E. Dark and black beers named Kloster Brewery Andechser Dunkles, Schlenkerla, Fischer Rauchbier and Weiherer Rauch (smoke beers), Weizenbi
Abseits does translate as "apart", "secluded" or "remote".Bamberg has a world culture heritage cityscape and so many many toursist visit it - particularly in summer. Most of the central restaurants and guesthouses are crowded and very busy.If you´re willing to walk a while, you will not only see more of the town, and how people live, but you may also come to this fine place. Abseits. The choice of beers made me enquire if there were guest rooms available (sadly not so) because I would not have minded staying here all evening, testing more variations of Franconian beers. The food was good. There is a dish of the day and a pleaseant choice of other meals. The outdoor seating is lovely. The staff are humorous and friendly.I shall come back.
This is a resto serving breakfast. The weather was great and we decided to have breakfast outside. The menu is inside on the wall. It may not make sense in the beginning. Let me help you: you get a huge slice of lovely bread. A mix of salad and more is topping your bread. The flavours, ingredients are so well composed and complement to each other which makes it a special experience. I have never had this before. Absolutely recommendable. Get surprised!

Following the recommendation from a good friend we have visited the Rocus 3 weeks ago while staying in a Hotel in the nearby city of Bamberg. Given that we are from Hong Kong it´s safe to say that we are Foodies and quite spoiled in that regard. What we experienced at the Rocus was on par with the best experiences we had in Asia which was a very pleasant surpise to us!We opted for the Menu together with Wine from the extensive and rather Spain focused Wine Menu and where not dissapointed as the menu was creative, beautifully presented and of excellent value. Overall a very pleasurable experience we definitely recommend if you like fine dining in an elegant but casual ambiente.
Today I had one of those near esoteric food experiences at DJK Hüttla in Gaustadt near Bamberg. I ordered the Lasagnazilla Burger and went straight to Burger heaven. A 250g medium paddy, on top of it a fried meatball lasagna, fresh onions, home made burger sauce, arugula salad, brioche bun, camembert cheese! Is there a word for more than awesome?Great food, friendly and competent service and really good beer!

We visited here tonight to try something a bit different after some heavy "typical" German food. The food really was excellent and a refreshing change after all the meat dishes available in the centre. The service was also very good. Recommended if you are in the area.

I know Bamberg fairly well and I come here often with visitors.Yesterday we walked away from the touristic "black hole" - the Rauchbeer Mecca, along the Sandstrasse in search for a nice eatery.Upon turning a corner we saw a welcome sight: outside seating in the shade (early afternoon). We looked at the menus, displayed on the tables, and the choice of dishes offered made us curious. We were welcomed most friendly, the service switched from German to English without a blink. When our dishes arrived they were...awesome. Beautifully arranged - as if for a commercial food shot - and oh so tasty. If you get a chance, if you`re into good food and aesthetic pleasures, go there. You´ll love it.
