We've visited this restaurant a couple of times - the first in summer when we sat outside in the Biergarten and the second in autumn, when we went inside. On both occasions the service was friendly and prompt. The interior is quite strikingly traditional and very enjoyable. The menu is varied, with Bavarian specialities and other Greek/European dishes. A complimentary Schnapps at the end of our visit was much appreciated and we will be sure to visit again.

Soft greasy pizza's and rather basic Bavarian dishes. Service was amusing to say the least. One exception: the Pfifferlings Nudeln were really good!

Was great to have this available at the end of our hike nearly a mile up! Good food and drinks await along with awesome views while you relax and enjoy your great accomplishment! The staff was very nice and pretty efficient which is rare throughout Europe!

This was a wonderful restaurant to start our first trip to Germany. It had delicious food, good service and a patient waitress who helped with language problems. Only now after a week in Germany can I compare this place to others. (A restaurant in Kochel is going to get a poor review in just a few minutes ...). We had a nice waitress who provided an English menu and then explained things on the menu. Our food came out quickly. The salad was large with a wonderful assortment of items. The sausages and potatoes came out hot and delicious. We also had a dessert - a cream puff with strawberries and cream - yum!! They took our credit card without any problem. We wished we had eaten there the second night instead of the Heimatbuhne in Kochel.

If you are visiting the famous monastery in Benediktbeuren, you should go for lunch to the "Rabenkopf". the restaurant is run bya a family. The white hair guy that may seem a little unfriendly is athe owner and ctually quite funny.A "must" is to have bohemian dumplings. The goulash is great and if you are fond of veal - this is a pace to go.

We hiked the ridge line from Lenggries, hitting all of the major peaks between the town and Tutzinger Hutte; arriving here was very pleasant after that experience. The food here is tasty, the beds are not so expensive, and they have a nice selection of beer. There is also a room to hang your gear after washing it or just to let the sweat dry out. Also, if you are a member of the German Alpine Association the beds are half the cost.I definitely recommend spending a night here during your hiking!

We went to see the Erlebniskraftwerk Walchensee. The bistro is situated within the premises. A nice, clean Restaurant and Café with a good food and drink selection. The main surprise arrived with the meals. They were nicely done up and tasted really great.

Road side rooms are right on a busy road. Earplugs a boon! Ask for a lakeside room for a little more money. However, the breakfast was excellent( I didnt have anything cooked) and enjoyed a spectacular view over the lake. Didnt eat here otherwise but lots of locals tucking in I noticed. No kettle in the room for tea etc.

We stopped off in Kochel on our way back to Munich airport and found this lovely restaurant. The food was good, a mix of local Bavarian and a some French influenced dishes. The service was excellent. They really welcomed the kids and did their best to ensure they had an enjoyable meal. We will make this our summer stop off, and use the excellent Hotel Schmied for our winter stop.
