Things to do in Ebersberg
Ristorante Al Lago was advised to me by the Ebersberg Business Class Hotel staff, and they were spot on. I drove to the restaurant and could park at a parking place in the street above. The restaurant location is picturesque: it is situated at a small lake, with a terrace overlooking it (inside seating also available). The service was impeccable, and so was the pizza â properly Italian, unbeatable with a glass of Chianti and Acqua Panna.

Waiting for my mate to finish work I stopped in here for lunch and a couple of quite ales. Pleasantly surprised. It is nothing major to look at from outside but warm and cosy on a winter day on the inside. The people were really nice and it is obviously a family run bar. I had the soup and a pork roast with gravy, potato, side salad and sauerkraut. It was really nice but the amazing thing was the price, with 2 awesome German Munich Helle beers was only $16.40 Euro. Bargain. Look, ebersberg is just a small town, not a huge amount to do there but there is quality food and drink at very reasonable prices.

This small, cozy restaurant gave our guests and ourselves one of the most charming Christmas memories we will ever experience. Deep in the Ebersberg Forest a picturesque Forsthaus awaits diners who will be surprised at the level of excellent cuisine. It can be reached easily from Ebersberg or through the forest from Anzing. We have often biked from our home in Anzing. Although we have enjoyed many fine meals there, our experience this last Sunday in Advent was spectacular. We reserved for lunch as we knew a small market would be in front of the restaurant, but we were astounded at the spectacular Christmas decorations that tranformed the restaurant into a winter paradise. Touches of the season were everywhere, both inside and out and just when we thought the atmosphere could not be more festive, a group came along to celebrate the winter solstice. After lunch we sat outside on benches with Glühwein around log fires and chatted with some other revelers who were surprised to hear people speaking English! If anyone at Forsthaus St. Hubertus is reading this, we want to send our heartfelt thanks for making this one of our most special experiences, ever. We could not have planned a more perfect afternoon and way to show our guests the best of Bayern! Thanks also for espcially making your delicious Kaiserschmarrn for us. No one makes it like your restaurant. Bis Marz!!

Welcome to Ebersberg near Munich ! The KUGLER ALM is a long-established family business . For over 25 years we spoil our guests with warm and cold Bavarian delicacies , with fine , light Mediterranean cuisine and our homemade cakes . The KUGLER ALM is fan
A couple of italian friends organized here their wedding party. I can say Bayern's cuisine is overall good, but normally not so "high-class". What we found in this restaurant was actually stunning! Traditional food but not the common dishes for tourists, and really cooked with love and attention to details. It absolutely deserves a 5! Unglaublich lecker!!!

Just returned from Sunday lunch at the Ebersberger Alm. Having booked a table for 13.00 we were quickly offered the menu and our drinks order taken. We ordered our food when the drinks were brought to the table - 3 course Tagesmenu, Schweinebraten, 2 x Kinder Schweineschitzel. So far so good, but this is where the service ended. We waited around 10 minutes for the soup to arrive (why, surely it's ready to be served straight away?) Then when the soup dish was cleared everyone had to wait again for the main course, which was served around 45 minutes after having been seated in the restaurant. By which time, the kids were going crazy and everyone was wishing we'd just stayed at home to eat. Opinions on the food was mixed, but this may have been swayed by our bad moods at having been kept waiting for so long. Time for dessert, which we would have skipped due to the poor service, but the Tagesmenu came with dessert, so we decided to order 2 more. The waiter was busy clearing tables, which was obviously more important than serving his paying customers. We eventually ordered 2 desserts. There followed yet another long wait whilst a slice of cheesecake was cut and ice-cream served. The Tagesmenu dessert never arrived. We had to go and find the waiter and ask about the missing dessert. He admitted he had forgotten it and would bring it. Another wait. We were finished after 1.40 minutes, paid 60⬠(no Tip given) and thoroughly regretted our decision to eat at the Ebersberger Alm.

We also used the Hofkucherl for a company group dinner as it is located a 15-20 minute drive out into the countryside from our office in Feldkirchen. One of the key plus points is the building itself, a very characterful traditional Bavarian farm house with pleasant beer garden that functions well as a restaurant. Other good points include the service levels, with the staff wearing traditional dress and the quality and quantity of the food. I was lucky to have the main roasted pork dish described below and it was very good. The negatives however are initially the location, as Forstinning is a rural location in the middle of nowhere. One colleague in the office poetically described Forstinning as having to drive for twenty minutes due west, then utilise a park and ride, and a cow will take you the last kilometre. A not all together inaccurate description as we turned into the narrow lane that goes to the restaurant and passed the full cattle sheds at the top of the road. And then secondly the menu is not very extensive, being a limited choice of starters and mains. And for our visit not all of these were available and I was one of the lucky ones who got the roast pork. And a Bavarian restaurant that doesnât have Roast Pork available wasnât appreciated by some of our party. So in conclusion, a decent enough Bavarian dining experience, but not one I would consider worth doing the significant drive out of Munich again. But if you are in the area of Forstinning and looking for a restaurant, then it is recommended.
