We sat outside and enjoyed people-watching with our dinner at this historical hotel. My liver and onions with fried potatoes was tasty, although quite heavy. A mixed meat platter was also very good, according to my husband. I think an appetizer and sharing a main would probably be enough for many couples.

Schade, hatte mich auf ein "Etzel-Bier" gefreut, musste aber dann erfahren, dass die Etzel-Brauerei seit 25 Jahren nicht mehr braut. Mit dem Namen und bei dem aktuellen Trend sollte man darüber nachdenken, es wieder zu tun! Die Biere würden sicherlich gut zur Speisekarte passen. Die Gerichte sind meist eher einfach, aber deswegen nicht schlecht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist in Ordnung und ich werde demnächst weitere Gerichte probieren.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung zum Essen dort. Nachdem wir an einem schönen Tisch im Biergarten Platz genommen haben wurde uns gleich die Karte gebracht. Das Konzept finden wir überzeugend .. von Kleinigkeiten (kleiner Salat mit Nüssen, Currywurst) über Rumpsteak alles was wir erwartet hatten. Auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche, welche nicht auf der Karte standen (Salat mit Garnelen) ist der Chef persönlich eingegangen. Der Service war den ganzen Abend sehr aufmerksam und das Essen war wirklich lecker. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder und hoffen das diese harmonische regionale Küche angenommen wird. Zum Abschluss müssen wir besonders das Dessert empfehlen.

I needed to spend a weekend away between working weeksA beautiful location.I was sincerely welcomed and shown to my room.A large double room with large bathroom.Clean and well presented.The deal was stay 2 nights and play as much Golf as you want.I have been made to feel welcome by the Golf membersand my dinner has been good.The Golf course is very pleasant Whilst I cannot use the adjective "Superlative", compared to some British and French Golf Courses. I can say that you cannot fault anything about this place.I thoroughly recommend this place for an orgy of Golf at a reasonable price with very friendly people.

This is one of my favorite little towns in Germany, Maybe because my mother was born in a nearby town.I have family & friends in this town and nearby.When I visited on my other trips I have stayed at Hotel Post.Unfortunately when I tried to book it again, I discovered that Hotel Post was closed.Thank goodness for the Tourist Information office in Amorbach. A very helpful man, Patrik contacted me after I emailed the office and recommended Schmelzfanne Guesthaus. They have a website for the restaurant but there was no way to contact them for the lodging.Thanks to Patrik we were booked a very nice size & modern room.After we arrived we decided to have dinner here also and what a wonderful meal. The character and ambiance of this quaint & rustic Inn are just wonderful. They also provided a nice little breakfast of meats, cheese, bread, eggs ,coffee & juice in the morning in the restaurant.This is such a charming town and Guesthaus. I hope that I will be able to visit here again. I never tire of strolling the small streets, shops and visiting the two impressive churches located here.There is also a small chapel named Amorsbrunn that is a short but very enjoyable walk from townLoved my visit here !

Wir waren auf Empfehlung in diesem doch etwas abgelegenen Gasthof. Aber schon unsere beiden Vorspeisen (Ziegenkäse und Wildschinken) waren super. Der Burgunderbraten vom Reh war einfach toll. Selten so ein zartes und feines Stück Wild gegessen und in keinem Fall trocken, wie man das oft beim Rehbraten findet. Zusätzlich gab es noch eine Menge an Spargelangeboten, was meine Frau auch genutzt hat. Das Erdbeeer/Eis- Dessert hat das Ganze schön abgerundet. Da werden wir öfters mal reinschauen. Im Sommer kann man auch schön auÃen sitzen und hat einen herrlichen Blick.

...the place might be for you. Nice location, all train themed, with the possibility to eat (and) sleep in old train carriages. The food has one thing that speaks for it. Plenty full. Otherwise it is nothing special and, in my opinion, helped along by the use of convenience products.

The food is excellent, service is great and the owner even waits on tables himself. The perfect place in the country to enjoy a meal if you want to travel off the beaten path! This restaurant is in a small village, Reichartshausen, near Amorbach, Germany which is near Miltenberg on the Main River.

I do not know what to say more, the restaurant is as good as accommodation, great chef works with local products, wine cellar contains many excellent bottles of wine from Franken and finding the best combination will take a pleasant weekend.
