Romantic Restaurant with a fantastic view to the fairytale Castle Neuschwanstein and the Bavarian Alps. In the differently designed areas of the restaurant, guests can enjoy delightful creations of the young kitchen team, which is characterized by seasona
This was an exquisite, lovely dining experience! We were staying at the hotel and this was a convenient choice for dinner on our first night there. However, this turned out to be a wonderful gem and we enjoyed dining there very much. The décor was warm and inviting, as was the service. The staff was incredibly well trained. Our service person was delightful â a perfect balance between humorous engagement and light conversation with the ability to step back so we were able to enjoy our meal. He was also incredibly familiar with the wine list & menu and was able to provide intelligent and well-considered recommendations for us. Something I always appreciate in restaurants. The food was very delicious. Created with what feels like the freshest of regional produce, and presented as if it was art on a plate. If youâre here during the day, youâll also get to savour views of the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles while enjoying a great breakfast or lunch. They are busy here, especially on weekends. So if you wish to dine here for dinner on weekends, I would suggest making a booking. Schwangau is such a lovely area, still close to trendy and bustling Fussen but presents with a lot more tranquillity and quiet charm. If youâre not staying in Schwangau but still in the vicinity, I would suggest a short drive for a meal at Rubezahl - itâs fine dining at its best and we really enjoyed it.

Certainly easy to spot in the dark; just off the main road through Schwangau and lit up like a beacon. Once there, note large car park across the road from the hotel. As it was night when we visited, we didn't really appreciate how attractive the building was. Traditional chalet style with a lot of structural wood, and with a good alpine view.We were not entirely sure how to present ourselves on arrival, so we reported to the hotel reception who then pointed us to the separate restaurant nearby. Plenty of large tables available in what seemed to be a sizeable semi-circular wood and glass conservatory, so we bagged a table for eight to ourselves. Having realised that we were Brits, a charming girl who spoke perfect english was deputed to look after us. As the menus were available in english too, it wasn't a difficult evening. Foodwise, ample alternatives of the robust teutonic variety which was fine by us.I went with the nicely-done pork medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce with schwabing dumplings whilst Mrs EPR exercised the unusual choice of grilled chicken breast in a sweet and sour sauce with spring rolls and wok-fried veg. Plus a bountiful bowl of fries between us. Not a lot left of that lot, I can assure you. Dessert choice equally good; who could refuse an "ice cream cake" - actually more like an ice cream cheesecake. I couldn't, and Mrs EPR's hot chocolate sponge pudding was equally good too.All dishes attractively presented, and efficiently served by the experienced waitresses who, I have to say, looked very fetching in their local costume. So a very successful evening in comfortable surroundings. Would certainly return.

We enjoyed very tasty food today having lunch at this beer garden. The service was good with nice and friendly waiter. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere in the garden wonderful- relaxed with just few cars passing by. Prices were not cheap, but pretty fair for the quality of the food. Both the salmon of my wife and my Wiener schnitzel were delicious and we enjoyed it fully. Be aware that the restaurant has strange working hours and is closed after 2 p. m, even on Sunday. Could be an unpleasant surprise. However we liked it and would recommend if the time fits your schedule.

My family and I are vegans and spent three weeks traveling around Europe this past summer. We all agree that Olivenbauer was the best meal we had during our entire stay! We stopped in unexpectedly after touring Neuschwanstein and could not believe our luck. It is a beautiful restaurant with an extremely helpful staff. But the absolute gem was the food. We all ordered something different and we all loved our meals! I recommend Olivenbauer to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Wir haben bis einschlieÃlich 12.06.18 Betriebsurlaub. Ab 13.06.18 sind wir ab 17.00 Uhr wieder für Sie da.
Fussen is a very attractive town but much of the food we encountered was perfectly acceptable 'tourist bland'. Madame Pluesch was different. A beautiful cosy venue and local cuisine - my mixed sausage plate was something to remember. The charming Bulgarian waitress worked so hard. You do need to book and we had to wait for the following day to get in but worth it.

I was here with Barbara's (Astrid's) group in December 2016, and was very happy with the choice of a local restaurant. We were able to choose between fish and the duck, and the duck was absolutely wonderful. Staff were also quick, efficient, and friendly. The restaurant itself was nicely kept and quiet. There was a very large group eating buffet style in the entry area as we were leaving - not sure if that's a regular event, or if they cater to reunions, office affairs, etc.

One of the three original Italian restaurants, from the products to the kitchen where they come out of the delicious pasta dishes and baked delicious and crispy pizza, from the staff to the very cordial service which are always ready and available to advi
In the poring rain, we found Michelangelo who were able to seat the 7 of us - upstairs. We liked the pizzas (I had the Michelangelo) and the spaghetti. Soft drinks (400ml) go for â¬3.90. Overall good food and friendly staff, although it was a bit warm upstairs. We were also able to pay with a card.Thank you for your visite.Arrivederci e grazie

On our way back from the King's Castle, we were starving as we had skipped lunch to tour the castles. Alpenstuben Buching popped up as a viable option for our very late lunch (or early dinner) as we entered the Bavarian Dorf of Halblech. Alpstuben Buching is a quaint Bavarian Inn that boasts excellent local cuisine and rooms to accommodate weary travelers. The restaurant offers a moderately-priced menu of local dishes. The portions are quite generous and delicious. Simply stated our meals were "lekker." Although the indoor restaurant and bar looked inviting, we opted to enjoy the day outside under one of the umbrella-covered tables. The service was good, and our hosts were very accommodating. I knew what I was doing when I ordered the local Gulasch. I thought it woud be excellent... and it was. The meat was tender, and laden with subtle hints of paprika and majoram. Since I was driving, I limited myself to a few sips of the local beer. Loved it!The outside dining offers an excellent vista of the looming Alps and rolling foothills. Alpenstuben Buching would make for a memorable romantic weekend with someone special. This fine little inn comes highly recommended.

If you have a chance to stop at this restaurant you will be in for a surprise - the outdoor setting is spectacular with a view over the Forggensee (lake) and the Alps in the distance. The food is more than generous and absolutely delicious. We ordered a seafood item on the menu which I shared with my spouse - even so we could barely finish all the samplings included. Our friends ordered lamb and they were very pleased too. This is not just a "pizza" place but an Italian restaurant with a more sophisticated menu - definitely worth a visit
