My son and I were visiting Passau and had dinner here. The restaurant is very traditionally German but the food was a cut above what one normally finds. I had schnitzel and my son had kase spaetzel. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, the service friendly and efficient, and the decor very traditional. Plus the beer was good. A nice dinner choice near the tip of the old town.

We stopped in for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. Cool and trendy inside and a beautiful garden, where we sat for dinner. Excellent wine list. Friendly service and great food. The iberico pork chop was delicious. All the choices are imaginative and contain the freshest ingredients (we saw them bringing in the mushrooms at 5:30pm). There are many good restaurants in this small town, this is an excellent one!

We was there with a friend on our bicycle trip. The road from Danube river is little bit like a mountain premium but the award on the top is that cafe.Beautiful view to Passau city with confluence of three rivers Danube,Inn and Ilz.Sitting on a terrace with icecream and coffee was a great reward.Standard prices and pleasant staff.

Always a hearty welcome from the owner/manager.Do not miss this restaurant if you live fish: lobster soup and - of course - their signature dish. But best of all is their sole. Always fresh ( but on booking a table pre-order the sole or you might be disappointed. It costs around â¬30 but worth every penny - do not get robbed off elsewhere with so-called fillets of sole for ⬠20 which are anything BUT sole!

fromthe famous city Passau just 10 minutes by car, is the Naturhotel Gidibauer Hof. Is´s very quiet and surrounded by the Bavarian forest but also near the city Hauzenberg (500 m) Our Hotel is famous for its cuisine and our historic building with very com
The most fabulous bedroom, on two levels, in the most fabulous setting. And a fine dinner to boot. The only tiny downside was that they were hosting a celebratory dinner in the Dining Room, with the result that the overnight guests were demoted to the Breakfast Room for the evening. But it was no great hardship, and breakfast the next morning on the sun-filled terrace was a delight! And all for £52 a head!

This was by far the best dinner we had on our 10 day Inn River cycling tour. The menu is quite upmarket, and would be attractive to gourmands. The outdoor garden seating is attractive with tables nicely spaced.Service was discrete and delightful. The food was superb. The menu is fairly limited, always a good sign in my mind, so you are recommended to check before booking to make sure the options are attractive to you.I tried to book this place for one of the other nights we stayed in Passau, but regrettably the venue was fully booked. Little wonder, its a great restaurant.
This is a magical spot that should not be missed! It's a family run Tavern set directly across the street from the Danube a few km from Passau. It's only open from spring through October because all the seating is outdoors. But what seating! Tables are scattered throughout the garden, creating an intimate but sociable experience. Everything is lit with fairy lights at night and one of the owners is a potter and many of his pieces decorate the space (which are also for sale). If you are looking for a truly authentic Bavarian experience--warm hospitality, excellent beer/wine, wonderful atmosphere--then you must check this place out. The food is mainly light dishes: cold cuts, cheese, salad, cakes and so on. The proprietors do speak some english so don't be shy. The pottery for sale is also beautiful.Open: Tue-Wed 10-5; Thurs-Sun 10-9
