This absolutely fabulous restaurant is located outside of Munich in the prosperous neighborhood of Gruenwald. Everything about the restaurant if first class, including the food, serving staff, ambiance, and delightful setting. Our friends from Munich eat there nearly every week with family, and I can see why. The rooms inside have beautiful wood trim, fine linen table cloths, tasteful art, and the initial serving of breads was delightful. The menu is diverse in German styles. Several people ordered the Weiner Schnitzel and were very pleased. I ordered an alternative chicken dish with pretzel and mustard crust and everyone agreed that my dish was the best. The mustard was very light but tastefully added to the dish. In addition, the potato salad was great and much lighter than most German potato salad (I grew up in an American German household). Exceptional. Others ordered the sliced potato salad and that was excellent as well. I also recommend the pumpkin soup if it is on the menu; it was a great way to start the evening on a cold December day. For dessert, I tried the Apple (Apfelkucherl) dish with sauces and ice cream. I would go back daily just for that dessert. I suggest you make reservations since this fine restaurant stays quite busy. And I think there is a U-bahn line that goes to Gruenwalder but if you have to rent a car to get there, do it!

We are still waiting for a main course. Two tomato soups took 75 minutes to deliver cold. No butter, no oil. First course salad no dressing. Servis totally bad. Only excuses. At prices charged not believable. We are not the only ones waiting. Main course arrived. 2 hours after order. Great stuff! Never again!!!

We visited this place several times and the food was always very delicious. They make the best Kaiserschmarrn we've ever eaten and the salads are also super tasty and carefully prepared. The service and terrace ambiance are nice, though at high-peak hours the place can become really crowded and you need to be prepared for a longer waiting time (for food). All in all, wonderful Biergarten, we go there anytime we have the opportunity.

Iâve been here a few times and am impressed by the selection of food. There is traditional Bavarian as well as crepes, vegetarian, ribs, steak and deserts. They have live entertainment on weekends. They have very friendly and helpful staff. There is a candy shack with cotton candy. There is parking or you can ride your bicycle. The location is great in the woods above the Isar. They have lots of celebrations there, recently I attended American Oktoberfest which was celebrated near July 4th. There was a lot of live American entertainment like country singers, dancers, cheerleaders, and American food like hamburgers, ribeye, and short ribs. Also they had a mechanical bull, Captain Jack Sparrow making balloon animals, face painting, and football throwing. Additionally it was all decorated in red white, blue colors! Our family had a great time!

You won't get many tourists here and most of the visitors were locals. The restaurant is on the banks of a pretty river with plenty of outside and inside seating. It caters for the masses and there is an extensive menu. The service is fine without being over friendly and the inside is comfortable and well decorated - somewhere for both an intimate dinner or party. We had fish, locally farmed trout, which was good and cooked in many different ways. Particularly trout en croute with crevettes is to be recommended. All of course washed down with plenty of beer! The prices here are quite reasonable with main courses around 10â¬. A good time will be had by all.

French fusion cooking in Munich, small restaurant with 30 seats, catering and party service, wine selection
Pullach is a quiet, well-to-do suburb South of Munich, which sits directly on a high bank over the Isar river. The "Old Distillery" restaurant lies in the middle of this small town. The interior of the one large room is rustic with lots of wood and has a comfortable, clubby feeling. The wife ordered ceasar salad (10 Euros) and I had the goat's cheese au gratin (13 Euros) as an appetizer. Both were overloaded with superfluous , decorative ingredients but lacked any defining taste. For the main courses we ordered the duck's breast with chestnut ravioli and brussel sprouts (25 Euros) and the salmon with a bean salad and bean puree (20 Euros). Neither main course was convincing. The sauce on the duck's breast could have been used with any dish on the menu. Here again the plates were loaded with disparate elements which seemed mainly decorative, which lacked a real taste and which didn't fit together. As a restaurant in this price class with the claim to meet the expectations of the clientel in this area, it barely gets a passing grade. The bottle of red from Franz Keller from Baden was good and fairly priced at 32 Euros.

It took several years to get the restaurant up to snuff. The kitchen quality was fluctuating, the personnel changing faster than you could say hello, or good by, and the biggest asset of the restaurant, the beautiful terrace was neglected, opened late in the year and closing early.Since about a year or so things have changed, the food has a consistent quality, service is good and attentive and the terrace view as good as ever, A clear recommendation.

Ordered a veal cutlet and FF. Was asked to pay an extra 1,50 for the FF because it normally came with another type of potatoes! Sounded like I was buying a prepared meal at a supermarket. The meal arrived and the FF were warm and soggy and was a small portion. The veal cutlets were small, not hot although the veal was tender and tasted good. In addition, the restaurant does not take credit cards!

Are you looking for a modern hotel with the perceptible flair you can only get from a family-run establishment? Are you looking for somewhere to celebrate a very special occasion? Do you need a representative setting for your conference? Or would you simp
Wonderful food and great service. It might be a bit expensive but 100% worth the price, what you get here is 100% organic, even the ice cream for desert. and I would love to recommend the chocolate mouse for everyone to try. It tasted like it was made in heaven. The waiters were friendly like the rest of the staff at the hotel.
