Nice garden, also interior looks nice. They had nice steaks and hamburgers, a lot of varieties. Not a very extensive card, but some fish and for meat eaters it will certainly do. Nice enthusiastic staff. Next to the restaurant there is a good beer garden, nice to combine. Restaurant is not very cheap, but you will survive it, and it's acceptable for what you get.

We stayed in the hotel just prior to Christmas and not only was the hotel everything we wanted but its location and accessibility to other interesting towns worth visiting, was excellent. We had a very spacious room with sitting area and if I had to be nitpicking the only fault I'd find would be the facilities in the bathroom which was dated and a bit ordinary. However, the lovely room and friendliness of the staff and management more than compensated. It's overlooking a little park just outside ( entirely walkable) the town centre. The restaurant is very good and the breakfasts provide a good range of foods. A short train ride takes you to the gorgeous town of Ruhpolding which is an absolute must if staying in the area. All in all, a great hotel, friendly staff, good value and THE place to stay in Traunstein.

Well, I will freely admit that as an Austrian I am skeptical when it comes to German food and German hospitality in general. As far as the prejudice goes, food is as square and technical as Germany in total. But the Park Café is very nice: Stylish interior, very friendly staff, a good selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks including cocktails AND VERY TEMPTING CAKES. Take my word: When it comes to these cakes, you do not want to resist temptation, they are delicious.

Decor: 5/5Food: 5/5Staff: 5/5This place is brilliant & well worth a visit if you're in Traunstein. We also visited the Traunstein Hoffbrauhaus but compared to Schnizlbaumer it was utterly inferior.Regretted leaving - will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

We have enjoyed our lunches/dinners here for at least 20 years. The menu offers many choices of what I would call typical Bavarian fare. I had roasted Schweinhaxe today and it was really good. Lots of different styles of beers offered from their brewery.

We visited this restaurant 4 times during our stay, the food was freshly cooked & well presented, very tasty and not expensive. The staff Stelio & Kostas etc were very attentive helping and taking time to explain what the dishes were & to share a glass of raki etc.Would I visit again, most definitely it will be on the top of my list

Rather small restaurant not far from the market place. We had a limited luncheon for a small appetite, with a nice spaghetti bolognese with lamb with light Italian white wine from Orvieto. Tasted very nice at a tiny but relaxed terrace. They have a small card but varied daily menu. And the waiter was very helpful. Prices are okay.

For those travelling with a Motorhome or just Camping this is a nice place for a stop. Small Beach, Showers, Restaurant and located in a perfect spot. Ideally for kids as well. They have a Web page and FB if you want to know more about it. Cooking is just great. Cheers.

I just reviewed the hotel at Landhaus Tanner; we had dinner on the evening of arrival, and it was excellent. My wife is vegetarian, and the cook took every pain to abide by her wishes (which doesn't speak for itself in Germany where cuisine is heavily dominated by pork meat). The wines by the glass - several of them from Austria - were also remarkable.
