Although a bit of a trek outside central Munich (about 30 minutes by U/S-bahn, it was well worth it. The website features numerous gluten-free options and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The duck was delicious as was the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) which was specially prepared gf. They even had several options of gf beer and not just the horrible gf and alcohol free version! I didn't expect the waitresses to be fluent in English but they are. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

young Bavarian Gastronomic with the probably longest cocktail bar in the Munich South-East and a romantic beer garden with a fountain. This innovative but down-to-Earth cuisine with Mediterranean and Alpine influences.
Nothing to rave about. Portion size was generous. Food was OK. Atmosphere that evening was ok. Not too crowded as we arrived early. Our reservation was messed up and despite an email confirmation, it could not be found. Neither could the requested corner table be found. They were available but we could not sit there. There you go. Overall OK.Dear PJsPjs,thanks for your feedback. Sorry for the reservation mistake. Hopefully we can show you next time a better side.

We had a traditional German dinner here on late notice. Dropped in here without a reservation, and got one of the last tables. We both had traditional German meals that were both good. Service was pleasant, and the setting was nice. Overall if you're in the area a nice place to drop in. Our hosts at Zeevat recommended the restaurant.

Just great German food. Anything with Spaetzle is yummy. All the schnitzels were excellent. They have an English menu and English speaking servers. Several of the food items are from the Schwab region, a quick google for Swabian food will give you an idea what some of the dishes are like.

Every now and then i like to have a sausage salad. If the sausage salad does have the right vinegar/oil combination and too watery...ugh! BUT, this sausage salad was PERFECT.Also the breaded calf vienna style dinner with french fries served HOT and was sogood! Try it!

I saw several reviews of this restaurant and I must say the negative ones do not seem to be fair. The service is friendly and at a reasonable pace. It is true Bavarian fare and is frequented quite heavily by locals. I would eat here again.

The meal was a basic schnitzel. It was ok, with lots of chips and salad. It's nothing fantastic but ok for a nice meal. I went solo on business. It's a tight restaurant so I wouldn't recommend it for small children.Staff doesn't seem to speak English but they do have an attempt at an English menu.

Never fail to go whenever in Unterhaching. Today was a perfect day to sit in the garden with a glass of cold retsina. We had the cold started platter for two between three people, and it was still too big for us.The same happened with the two salads and the giros we ordered. Just too much food. But, anyway, everything tasted very good, the service was impeccable, a bit relaxed, maybe.Almost 5 stars

There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The schnitzel is very good, as well as the Bavarian meatloaf (we couldn't tell what the loaf had in it but it was very tasty). The English menus are sparse and are sometimes incorrectly translated. That said, we ate at the restaurant twice. The service is friendly and paced to enjoy your meal.

We had a great evening st Thalassa. The owner personally welcomed us with two glasses of ouzo before we struggled to finally choose several of the many great options on the menu. The mixed spit of grilled meats was excellent as was the pitta grilled with garlic. The moussaka tasted as great as it looked. After dessert, the owner came by again with a glass of warm metaxa. While not a cognac fan, this was surprisingly smooth and a nice ending to the night. Only fault keeping this from a 5 star review is a few hiccups from not writing down all of our order. But the food when finally served as ordered was fantastic and the service and atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend
