This eco-initiative is SO MUCH MORE than a cafe. Our tuk-tuk driver brought us here saying we might be interested in an ox-cart tour, we went along and were treated to the most amazing 1 hr+ tour. The cafe and it's business, but then a tour of the rice paddies by ox cart, with a guide regaling local mythology about sheep mountain and crocodile mountain. Informative interludes about rice farming, palm oil, tamaring fruit, then a stop by at a local workshop seeing rice noodles being made and sampling the fresh product.There was so much more - we were blown away by our afternoon here. If in Battambang, come by and check it out.

Where is this view?! All there was was one road with barely any thoroughfare. We turned up at half 7 to find no staff or patrons up there, most lights off and no atmosphere at all. A real let down but we did then find Jaan Bai which was amazing so the night did improve. A shame as the hotel were really helpful with everything else considering we didn't stay there.

Big steaming mugs of strong coffee, fresh omelettes, great home baked bread and muffins. A relaxed and simple cafe, it's not got the fanciest decor but it's clean and welcoming and the prices are not high. It's a few steps away from the Royal Hotel so close to the central market. Sunrise has friendly staff, a selection of books and free wi-fi and it's open from the early hours. They have a nice selection of baked goods on sale which you can take away and they have a dinner menu too but I didn't try that.Definitely a worthwhile stop off during a stay in Battambang

Nice rooftop bar if you are a backpacker wanting to meet other travellers. Food is okay and drinks the same. The staff is friendly. The hostel on the other hand is really nice. The rooms are relatively spacious and the sanitary equipement is clean and well equipped. Each room has is a/c.

Food was nice and it's for a great cause. However, make sure you have crisp notes otherwise they are funny about taking legal tender. Ten dollars is worth ten dollars, whether the note is in perfect condition or not.

We enjoyed a very good lunch here at reasonable prices for Cambodia in this upstairs café. The gazpacho soup ($2) was delicious. Our daughter loved a special order of scrambled eggs with a toasted baguette ($2). The stir fried mushrooms with clam sauce and steamed rice ($3) was also very good. Coffee was $1 a cup. Cordial waitress spoke enough English to take our order. The atmosphere was inviting. A gift shop downstairs was a little pricey. Nice location on a quiet side street. We plan to return.
