We had 2 entrees with curry sauce- chicken strips and pumpkin dumplings. Same bland sauce on both. The chicken was in chunks like an Indian dish. The pumpkin was probably chickpea flor. Also had boring fried cauliflower and mujerta, an uninspired rice-lentil dish. At least, the atmosphere was nice.

Ernest Hemingway's 1952 novel The Old Man and the Sea depicts the world of a poor Cuban fisherman who fights the wild sea. These elements of sea, fish and noble nature have also inspired the establishment of the well-known restaurant on Jaffa's Kedem Street - The Old Man and the Sea.
My party of five were here for lunch, sitting along the Mediterranean shore. We were brought 22 small dishes of middle-eastern specialties, and large flatbreads. We partook of whatever items appealed to us. Whenever one of the small dishes was finished, it was replaced with another. This went on until we were all stuffed. The flat price for this was 50 shekels (about $17) per person.

This restaurant was AMAZING. Natalie our waitress was so knowledgeable about all of the wine and food and made our visit extremely special. We had 2 amazing bottles of wines, the antipasti veggies, Moroccan bread, the Moroccan cigar special, Sicily charcuterie, roka steak, ribeye, the malabie dessert, and the chocolate ball dessert. Everything was unreal and we would definitely go back!!

TAYO - A very good fish restaurant- If you like sea food this is the place to go for the food was extraordinary, with a large selection The price was resemble, the service was slow. The only problem is that you should take an Israelite with you to show you the place for it's on the main road of Bat YAM, at the end of the Tayo beach but its worth while
Saturday evening (last night) , eight of us , friends , sitting on the Terrace , watching the stunning sunset right in front of us . The location is really great , with free parking after 19:00 , only a couple of minutes walk away .
On the table (for two persons) : 2 half liter cold Tuborg draft beers ; 1 Ikra ; 1 fried Calamari (as first dish) ; 1 fried cauliflower (as first dish) ; A couple of great fresh rolls and 1 coffee . (We did not order any main dish) .
On the bill : 173.00 shekels (about 48.00 US$ ) .
The beers were great . The fried calamari and fried cauliflower were O.K : Hearty in size , similar in taste . The Ikra ? We left it on the dish after one bite .
The price is not inexpensive : main dishes well over 100.00 shekels each .
Service was trying to be friendly but it faded out , maybe because the restaurant was packed (and maybe because some of us were too impatient ) .
To sum it up : We may come again , if only for the beautiful sunset , good cold beers and happy friends .

Met with good old friends for a weekday Lunch - as per their recommendation...and indeed this place is a MUST for all food lovers...Starting from the Menu beautifully presented in Pictures on Tablets, and continuing with absolute gastronomic excellence in every dish ordered, presented faultlessly and with service to match...One would think this kind of Restaurant should be prohibitively expensive - and here was our last (but pleasant) surprise - NOT ALL, in fact suitable to every pocket !

And an amazing view!!

Restaurant Hours : every night from 19:00 till 23:30
Many locals come here for happy hour and the food are just great - we enjoy the dishes so much but our stomach cannot accommodate all. The hanger beef steak is great. The cream brulee lollipops and banana crumbs are must try. Overall the service is great and food is reasonably priced and delicious! Suggest to book for dinner.

Folks, Simply a delighted variety of so good Western, Italian, and American food with the best Humus dish in town . This is hilarious. No wonder the place is packed up with plenty of French English, Europeans of all kind and Americans.
Service is curious, place is pet friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We, originally from Czech republic, we so excited to find this Little Prague restaurant in Bat Yam. When we came, we tough how cool the place is, order some beers (very wide selection must say) and meal: I ordered the goose with red cabbage and dumplings and my partner beer goulash. It was a disappointment though. The goose was great, but dumpling so dry, no sauce whatsoever (as in traditional Czech kitchen). The goulash was the same, you taste a lot of paprika :/. After that I ordered a pancakes too, fake whipped cream (from spray) - totally disgusting....it is not so difficult to make a fresh one...!Expectation was bit high, but knowing the Czech kitchen so well, we wouldn't be happy with this quality back home. Perhaps, the chef should get some proper training? Otherwise the place was nice.
