Excellentes galettes aux ouassous, à gouter absolument. La galette au poisson est également bonne. Les galettes sont décorées de légumes exotiques. Un bon mariage de saveurs!

My wife and I reserved a table for lunch, and we were the first customers. Service was excellent. My meal was a contradiction; while the steak was surprisingly tough, everything else was very good. The salad included a super-thin-sliced cucumber with a subtle vinegar dressing, it was wonderful. We ordered mojitos; they were large and quite strong; since I was driving I thought it unwise to finish it. My wife was pleased with her meal, so I must assume the leathery steak was a one-time exception. Just as we left, cars started to enter the single lane driveway into the parking lot, and a comical scene occurred, with our attempt to leave creating a brief gridlock. Apparently a late lunch at the Oasis is quite popular among those of a French persuasion.

We sat outside under the canopy, and the fresh air and breezes were very soothing. Even though we don't speak French, and the waiter spoke no English, we did pretty well using Google Translate and our basic knowledge of menu items and ingredients. They have passionfruit as an option for Ti punch, and it is quite welcome as the shot of rum with a few lime pieces has you otherwise breathing fire. The menu is very limited, but the food we had was good - beef carpaccio, house burger (made with hash brown cakes instead of a bun) and duck breast. Both the burger and duck were cooked more than what we ordered, but they were still tasty. It's pricey, but we enjoyed our meal near the marina. Service was friendly and fast.
A tous niveaux. A eviter.

Le Caprice des Iles is a restaurant in Guadeloupe dedicated to lovers of good traditional and modern cuisine. Lobster, grilled fish and other dishes chatrou will make you spend a moment inoubliable.Pour lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the sea o
Great food at normal restaurant prices around here (i.e. more than we want to spend but so be it). Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Great service too. We have three different waiters/waitresses looking after us. Some of the waiters can speak a little english. Make sure to get the fish in the avocado cream sauce!

Good meal, but not perfect. Flavors were quite weak considering we expected a creole punch of deliciousness. Fish was fresh and meat (pork) was very well cooked, so can't complain there! There are a few tables, and you can see into the marina on one side and into the kitchen on another. Slightly over priced, but oh well!

Superbe restaurant situated in a domain with many of the vestiges from the past sugar cane exploitation still visible. The restaurant, built with nobel hardwoods and volcanic rock, provides an intimate setting for the meal. The food, its presentation and savours were excellent. I particulaly enjoyed the tarte tatin of boudin noir and fois gras and the joue de porc, but I had trouble deciding which dishes to select from a well balanced menu. The staff were very attentive and efficient, taking time with the clients to make us feel at home, almost part of the family.... This is certainly the best meal I have eaten since living here. Highly recomended for many return visits.
