Superbe restaurant situated in a domain with many of the vestiges from the past sugar cane exploitation still visible. The restaurant, built with nobel hardwoods and volcanic rock, provides an intimate setting for the meal. The food, its presentation and savours were excellent. I particulaly enjoyed the tarte tatin of boudin noir and fois gras and the joue de porc, but I had trouble deciding which dishes to select from a well balanced menu. The staff were very attentive and efficient, taking time with the clients to make us feel at home, almost part of the family.... This is certainly the best meal I have eaten since living here. Highly recomended for many return visits.

It was December, warm, and we were tired and hungry, and we were on a commercial street that may have had its charms but these escaped us. And then we sort of stumbled into this wonderful place, for a terrific lunch, a well chosen glass of wine, and very able and considerate service. And the food was terrific. If you ever find yourself in downtown Basse-Terre -- and with the cheap fares offered by Norwegian Airlines -- this is the place.

Our first restaurant meal in Guadeloupe & it was good. I just had a burger & fries, my companion went for the Hawaiian pizza. Though expensive by comparison with Canadian prices, the portions are large, hot, cooked to order, fresh & flavourful. Was that grass-fed...MoreThank you, see you soon

We drove to Basseterre after hiking La Soufriere (since there was nothing open in St Cloud...grrrrrrrrrr). To be fair, if you are starving after hiking a volcano, then anything tastes good. That said, we Americans know a thing or two about cheeseburgers, and we could not have been more delighted with the ample American-sized portion, speedy service, low price (5.60 euros total for a cheeseburger and coke) and awesome greasy diner-taste of our burgers: What a pleasant surprise! In addition to burgers, they also have about 15 different sandwiches to choose from, and lots of soda, beer, and juice as well. They are open 0700 - 1330, at least on Saturdays. Again, not much to look at from the outside (or inside for that matter -- just a counter with 10 stools), but wow, we were so pleasantly to discover this place before it closed for the day.

We did not notice this restaurant at first on New Year's day, but saw some people on the Terrace and only then knew this is a restaurant. They had 4 main dishes and we tried 2 which were excellent! This was the pork and grilled fish. Both with side dish of gratin ripened bananas. EXCELLENT!
As we also like tropical juices, we had the maracuja juice, which was the best we had on the island! Accra is on the house.
We will definitely come back here during our stay!
They are rewarded 3 years in a row with "Le Routard", which is a French touristic guide!
Must try!

Unbelievably delicious juices, wraps, sandwiches. All freshly made! Went there with family of 6, had lunch, ready and served in no time. They even offered us a free juice! Yum!
