Welcome to the Laiterie de Tocqueville on the Cherbourg Peninsula. Whether you are seeking a Bed and Breakfast or the luxury of a private villa, we can accommodate your needs. The former dairy, founded in 1909, was one of the first cooperatives in the area. In 2009 extensive renovations of the main building, the Director's villa and the lofted garage were commenced and we now offer superb comfort in each, central to all the very best the region has to offer. For sheer relaxation, our property has extensive landscaped gardens, hammocks, comfortable lounge chairs, a library and games room with fireplace and internet. Nearby is a spectacular coastline with the island of Tatihou, Barfleur, the lighthouse at Gatteville, the fort at Cape Lévi, numerous picturesque coastal villages and fortresses and for the more intrepid, the Customs officers' famous path. You can also depart from Barneville-Carteret for the Channel Islands and explore places such as Jersey. Opportunities for adventure are unlimited. All this is enhanced by the gourmet delights of the Cotentin region: mussels from Barfleur, oysters from Saint Vaast la Hougue or Gatteville le Phare, barbecued lamb from the marshes of Mont Saint Michel... Whether you are young or simply young at heart, travelling solo, as a couple or as part of a larger group, you will be warmly welcomed. We would love to share with you some of the pleasure we have living in Val de Saire.
We stayed here as a stop between Mont Saint-Michel and Bayeux and we wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts were SO kind and generous! We were there on a Sunday and all the shops were closed- I asked our host if he knew a place where we could buy cider (since that is a local specialty), he said that everything was closed. Shortly afterwards, he appears with a bottle of his own cider, ice cold, and serves us complimentary glasses! So kind! The room was very spacious, the hotel itself has been renovated to a very high standard- it used to be a milk factory! Breakfast was very good- lots of homemade breads, homemade yougurt that was delicious, cheeses and meats, fruit, etc. I would 100% recommend staying here and make it more than one day!

This 16th-century bed and breakfast is located in Normandy, a 20-minute drive from Cherbourg-Octeville and the sea. It is set in a landscaped garden and offers free WiFi access. Each guest room at the Manoir de Savigny is individually decorated in a classical, colonial or romantic style and has a private bathroom. Additional facilities at the Savigny manor include bar, fireplace, free private parking and an outdoor terraces. The Manoir De Savignys central location offers easy access to numerous sites and attractions including the D-day beaches with Utah and Omaha beach, Mont Saint Michel, and the Anglo-Norman islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Sark, and Herm.
Perfect place for some relaxing days. The house is very well decorated and clean. Erik, the owner of the Manoir, is very helpful (English speaking) to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Only complaint to our selves is that we stayed 2 days only... Michel de Bruyn

You’ll enjoy relaxing rooms that offer a flat screen TV, and you can stay connected during your stay as L'Ame du Gourmand offers guests free wifi. The bed and breakfast features executive lounge access, a sun terrace, and a coffee shop. Plus, L'Ame du Gourmand offers a pool and an on-site restaurant, providing a pleasant respite from your busy day. For guests with a vehicle, there is free public parking available nearby. Given the close proximity of popular landmarks, such as Foie Gras From Mont (2.2 mi) and Le Moulin de Moidrey (2.3 mi), guests of L'Ame du Gourmand can easily experience some of Pontorson's most well known attractions. If you’re looking for a French restaurant, consider a visit to La Casa de Quentin, Eugenie, or Le Brazza, which are all conveniently located a short distance from L'Ame du Gourmand. If you’re looking for something to do, Notre Dame de la Paix de Pontorson (0.2 mi) is a nice way to spend some time, and it is within walking distance of L'Ame du Gourmand. Enjoy your stay in Pontorson!
The room at the hotel was a bit of the old-fashioned French variety with each bath fixture opening directly into the bedroom without sound isolation. For the price it is fine but I would advise staying closer to Mont St. Michel as the hotels are more up to date although lacking in charm. The breakfast was copious and included in the price and one can help themselves to coffee or tea at any time which is a lovely aspect to the place. the town is rather drab but does have many boulangeries and restaurants and creperies and was chosen by me because there is a public bus to take to Mont St. Michel from the railroad station, about a block away. The parking situation fro Mont St. Michel sounded really complicated so I tried to avoid it by stqying in Pontorson, but now that I have been there, I think the parking would have been fine. Very nice to sit at breakfast and talk with other guests from other countries.

We have stayed here once to camp and on 2 occasions within the lodge tents. Lovely location for family camping, with good shower/toilet facilities, space to play and relax, outdoor pool, tennis court and space for football or badminton. A lovely shop situated in the square yard of the chateau, selling a small but useful range of products. We enjoyed picking up fresh bread and pastries in the morning! The on-site restaurant is lovely, and it’s really good being able to relax at a restaurant, and walk back to the accommodation without having to drive out. Bayeux is close by - we took a family bike ride on one occasion. Very well situated for visiting the Normandy D-day landing beaches. Very easy to reach location if coming across from UK on the ferry to Caen - 30 minute drive from the ferry port. Very friendly & welcoming hosts, who are happy to help out with any issues. Would definitely recommend it, and would like to visit again one day, and perhaps stay within the chateau.

At the heart of a quiet neighbourhood, Club Residence Le Domaine de la Corniche offers many services. Built in 2012, the Club Residence is slate-clad and blends in with its environment. You will be housed in comfortable, fully-equipped flats or villas. Whatever the weather, you can enjoy the covered pool, the Relaxation Area (with its hammam, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room) and more.
The location and the pool was good, but the Wifi was very poor and - more importantly - the rooms had not been cleaned for a condiderable period of time. If you are on a budget it is ok, but otherwise we recommend looking elsewhere. Also, note that there is no AC - not even a fan - and you need to bring your own soap and shampoo.

Florence et Dominique welcome to their 19 th century farm house, which they have entirely renovated, in delightful calm surroundings, just 9 km from Bayeux and 12 km from the sea. You will be enchanted by the warm tones and comfort of the four guest rooms, with evocative names that reflect the owners’ passion for travel. The two large gites (holiday rental homes) have been developed from the original out-buildings and equipped with all modern conveniences.. After a day of sight-seeing you will have the opportunity to sample fine regional cooking at our “table d’hotes”, where all guests can dine together in a relaxed ambience.
A lovely presented property with fantastic welcome from Florence and Dominique. We loved the natural chuckles from Dominique, the warmth given at check in and the efficient bookings made with their recommended eateries....which were spot on for price, variety and presentation. We only stayed two nights but felt we left as friends. Well worthy of their excellent TripAdvisor rating.

Stayed 1 night. Chose this B&B as they accepted pets. lovely large room on the ground floor. little dated and twee but comfortable and clean. Good choice for breakfast. Freshly cooked. Nice surroundings and quiet area Patron very friendly and accommodating. just a tip, the room was a bit noisy as it was just off the reception / entrance area.

If you want to try for a stay in a real chateau and you are in the area of Normandy, I would recommend this property. It is nice to have a short walk in the garden between horses and a small pont. Children can climb in the old Willow or use the swing. I like the way it is setup. The many stairs between the knights armor brought us to a large classic style room for our family to stay overnight. The room has modern kitchen and shower. The breakfast is simple and would fit even better if we could enjoy this in a larger room in such a castle.
