Situated at the feet of the western Pyrenees near the French border, Spain's Basque country comprises three provinces: Guipúzcoa and the popular beachfront capital of San Sebastian; Viscaya, where capital Bilbao houses the jaw-dropping Gehry-designed Guggenheim Museum; and Alava, whose capital Vitoria teems with medieval architecture. Running with the bulls at Pamplona and drinking rioja from area wineries add to the region's exotic romanticism. Travel in early summer and fall to dodge the madding crowds.

The two best attributes of this hotel are the location and the staff. The hotel is located very close to the Airport bus stop and walking distance to El Arenal and Guggenheim museum with lots of shops and supermarket nearby. Both the gentleman and lady at the front desk are very friendly and accommodating. Only used the rooms to crash at night but they were rather well appointed and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

We booked a premium room that has a balcony with two chairs and a small table to look out to the vineyards and the beautiful surrounding area. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was included in our rate and it had good options to get your day started. The location of the hotel was perfect for us to explore La Rioja for 3 days. The staff was friendly and attentive. You have parking right outside the hotel. Very interesting how you go down to your floor instead of going up. The check in area is the first thing you walk into. As you're going down on the elevator, you can see their bodega and the long lines of barrels. On one of the days we were there, we took a tour of their bodega and was very impressed. We would definitely stay here again when we return to La Rioja.

Was amazed by this accommodation. It seemed brand new. It was spotless. One of the quietest places I’ve ever stayed. I was on the 10th floor and the view from the window was amazing. I presume students can live there so there was loads of storage for clothes. Lots of nice desk space. I was really impressed. I didn’t check out the breakfast, but I found a very nice cafe downstairs for dinner called Mao. The only negative I can find is that my shower ran hot and cold, both days. Check-in and out was the fastest I’ve ever experienced and it was right next to a Metro station.

We were in the nearby and did not know where to go for the night. I found this place on Booking.com Very nice location in a quiet place with a large parking. Family run small hotel with restaurant. A somehow impractical way of check-in through an automatic machine (which was no so immediate to use !). Anyway very comfortable room, bed, bathroom; clean. Being quite late in the night, we asked for something to eat and we had some good ham and cheese with wine.

I recently made a booking for Mirador Catedral de Santiago in Bilbao via lastminute.com. I then got response that this apartment wasn't actually available and it shouldn't had been advertised. However, the customer service informed me that i wouldn't get a full refund and i would still have to pay for management fees. I feel this is very unfair and very poor customer service of lastminute.com. Disappointing.

Just stayed for one night between cities in a lengthy business trip. Room was clean, comfortable and functional, though small and the choice of colours a bit drab. Good wifi, friendly and helpful staff. The location was a bit iffy - Vitoria has areas with more charm, and at night I discovered this is very close to the street where everyone goes to stand outside and drink - not so close that I could hear it, but I went out in the evening for supper and the atmosphere outside was a bit off-putting.
