Rizzi Residence is located in the heart of Sasso Barisano, between the ancient roads of Via Fiorentini. The structure, completely renovated, gets to its guests an unforgettable stay between culture, art and relax. A few steps from the Rizzi Residence are present the Casa Grotta "Once upon a time .." and "I Sassi in Miniatura", places of cultural and artistic interest.
The accomodation was very nice, in the heart of Sassi area ❤️. Its owned by family that has its own store. Located in Unesco area, everything was close by walk ?. Renovated, clean with nice people. We recommend that and if we come back once, we return there ?.

Nestled on the hillsides just outside Rionero in Vulture, you can find this true treasure of an Agriturismo with a stunning view on the surrounding countryside. Apart from the view you will be spoiled with a warm welcome, comfortable big rooms but especially with the amazing and extraordinary quality of food served by the hosts. This experience has lifted us to renewed level of Italian Cuisine never experienced before. Fresh produce, succulent meats, local wine and finger-licking pasta dishes, all providing tantalising flavours. Leaving you only wanting more and thinking you should've booked a longer stay. A true wholesome gem in the South of Italy!

This is an imperial "suite" on the center of Marera. It is really attractive because is near "Sassi" and "Ipogei" of Matera.
This was a very odd place! It was within a commercial office block, occupying one floor. But with no staffing at all in the building from the hotel staff. So you basically get given a key at a different hotel then go yourself, and it’s all automatic doors on a swipe card. We didn’t feel that safe in it, espec in the evening. You enter the building from the Main Street yourself, but it was impossible to find any lights so we were going upstairs in the darks until the hotel entry door. The other poor thing was communication; we parked at the sister hotel 5 mins walk away and spoke to reception. Then took all our luggage to Corso, to find no reception or way to get in! I then had to go all the way back, to get keys. We weren’t told or emailed at any point these instructions, and nobody mentioned it when I spoke to them when dropping off the car. Frustrating start! The good things about this hotel were: very good central location, newly refurbished and clean (though one bath towel was stained) , parking available though €15, and it wasn’t too expensive for the room.

Great experience. There is a paid lot you can use about 10 min walk down the hill. This spot is right in the middle of old-town Matera (the sassi). The door opens on to a stunning view of the canyon. The suite is - like many places in Matera - built as a cave into the rock. Very clean and stylish inside though. Stays very cool in the summer heat. There's a basic kitchen. They bring way too much food in the morning for breakfast - pastries and breads. The bedroom is huge with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was good too, though there's an opening in the wall between bedroom and bath so it's not super private. And then you're steps away from everything. Very friendly host.

The place is perfectly located, something like 500m far from the main square. The flat has everything needed to feel comfortable in Matera, with a fridge, coffee machine and clima. The bathroom is amazing and perfectly clean (like the rest of the flat too). The owners are really easy going and read to help, suggesting Tours and restaurants! We will meet again!!
