There's not another store like Calef's in the entire US of A, or for that matter, the entire world! Come in for our Snappy Cheese, Jams, Jellies, Ginger Snaps, and a whole bunch of wicked neat stuff you won't find anywhere!

The menu is divided into light portions (appetizers to share or not) and big servings (hearty meals). The light portions included roasted Brussels sprouts (popular with my group), roasted vegetables, and Chinese pot stickers (6 in a serving; also popular). I was not feeling daring, so I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was delicious and done to my liking. The fries came with a delicious sauce that tasted like vinegar and mayonnaise; this tastes a lot better than it may sound. My group ordered a variety of cocktails that they found pleasing. I was happy with my beer. I liked the location in downtown Rochester and the abundance of nearby parking. I'll be back!

I was in the area and a friend recommended Umami. What a lovely surprise to find such a casual, funky, spacious and diverse place with fantastic food.
Many gluten-free options, interesting twists, asian elements, amazingly fresh eggs from local farmers. I had a salad, my friends tried the burger and the sweet potato cake, all excellent. I was sorry the place was closing otherwise I would have ordered more to try. We were there for Sunday brunch and they had a live bluegrass band, fun!
Worth trying!

First time visit. Was not crazy about the cafeteria style of waiting in line to order food and beverages. Especially when it's busy and everyone, including staff are inpatient. The pizza was good. the Garlic and Cinnamon Knots were tasty. I'd pay extra for regular sit down table service. Good if you're in a hurry and not looking to relax.

Stopped in for a sandwich after a long travel day. The pizza looked great and the menu had lots of choices for hot and cold sandwiches. I settled on the buffalo chicken, and substituted blue cheese for the standard ranch. A "small" was more than enough. Great service, great sandwich!

The ice cream is homemade. The waffle cones are fresh and made to order. The black raspberry chocolate chip is my weakness. The chocolate ice cream really tastes like true, yummy chocolate. There are kids toys on the lawn, fun chairs to relax in, and they are dog friendly. Great stop for the whole family.

I have to be honest and I always get the clam strips Caesar salad and french onion soup and it's always perfect. My friends and family have enjoyed a wide variety of their meals from chicken tenders to the Teriyaki Dragon steak and we are all Beyond pleased with our selections and service!

The fantastic company calendars are not to be missed and made us stay to try the food. Crisp lettuce in the Ham and Turkey, a very good roll and a doable price was a good start, though the meats were bland and the Chicken Parmesan was only average, saved by a very good sauce. The almost perfect garlic bread, great atmosphere and appropriate dining music makes it worth a stop if you're in the area or shopping the Lee Traffic Circle shops.
