I have been here many times. As a couple, with family and with friends. It’s a great spot. Go, grab a drink, grab a burger and have some fun. What else can I say? It’s a bar.

I grew up in Rosedale in Toronto and went to high school at Jarvis Collegiate. The first and original Keg, the Keg Mansion was literally across the street from my high school and it became a favourite hangout in the bar upstairs as well as for decades enjoying the terrific food there. It always had been my favourite Keg...until now. We now live in Gravenhurst in the Muskokas and often travel by or through Barrie. The Keg Barrie is now my favourite Keg. Great location just off Hwy. 400 and the ambience is fabulous. It's a big, beautiful restaurant with a fabulous bar. The staff is really friendly and although all the Kegs pretty much have the same menu, well, the food just to seem that much better. A word for the wise...avoid the Keg in Oshawa. The food really is hit and miss. I've been disappointed many times. I've been going to The Keg Restaurants for over 40 years!

Classy, intimate bistro offering progressive Canadian cuisine. The perfect spot after work, for a romantic evening or an important business meeting. The "Hall" also shines as the place to enjoy your most special occasions. Call us today and let us customize your celebration. If it's worth celebrating, it's worth celebrating at the "Hall".
We spent a FABULOUS evening at Painter's Hall enjoying the delicious food and outstanding service! Our server Wagner made the perfect meal and wine pairing suggestions! He was always on top of the need for an additional glass while allowing us the private time we wanted to spend together. Always there when we needed him, superbly helpful, pleasant, charming and professional...but not too there when we were conversing. The food was also outstanding! I had the salmon and it was melt in your mouth perfect. We began with a delicious soup and I finished with the chocolate cake. I must confess, I was more than satisfied as the meal serving size was more than ample, but that chocolate cake was not to be missed and did not disappoint!!!! So mouthwateringly delicious! A perfect end to a perfect meal...we picked the ideal place to start Barrielicious!!!!! The price was very reasonable for this exquisite meal with outstanding service. I'm even thinking I might need to cancel one of the other Barrielicious bookings I have and come back here again it was so good! I think it will be difficult for anywhere else to measure up to this. I highly recommend this restaurant. What a delightful evening!!!! My favourite things...the food and the service.

My son and I stopped in here while in Barrie for a ski vacation. Excellent service and top notch pizza. The worst thing about this restaurant is trying to decide which pie to order.
Pizzas come out quick too because of the insanely hot brick oven. One pizza is perfect for two adults.
Great spot!

"Fun and relaxed service with a casual flair and exceptional food. Located on Yonge Street, close to the water and downtown core, this upscale restaurant features contemporary cuisine and an extensive wine and cocktail list in a casual but fine dining atmosphere. Barrie's only mixologist, Kevin, can create a drink to please any palate and desire. Beside their beautiful patio, there's an on-site garden where there's a good chance you see the chefs picking fresh veggies and herbs for your meal. Open for lunch Monday to Friday and dinner from Monday to Saturday , they promise to provide a dining experience with such superior quality service and food that you will want to return. Reservations for lunch or dinner are always recommended and appreciated. If you haven't been there at all or even in a while...call and make Reservations. You just might find you have a new favourite spot in town."
I'll admit it... I have a restaurant background and can be a little finicky when it comes to service, atmosphere and, of course, the food.
It is rare that I frequent a restaurant that I have to sit back and think about what could have been done differently or leave a comment on something that the server did, or did not, do.
It has been a few days now and our meal at The Urban Dish is still being discussed. Our server (Cathy) nailed service. Professional, friendly and attentive... How could I ask for more.
As for our meal... my mouth still waters to this day. Our beef tenderloins were cooked to perfection. Paired with the grilled oyster/shiitake mushrooms and then laid out on a bed of creamy rosemary polenta. How could you go wrong?
Bravo to the entire team.

Great home cooked pub food with the best selection of craft beer on tap North of Toronto. With large bay windows you have an indoor/outdoor atmosphere all through the year.
Dropped in for lunch while in town for a business meeting. Wanted a "local" place rather than one of the ubiquitous chain outlets and this place clearly fit the bill.
At least a dozen Ontario craft brews were on tap and the Saison that I chose was fresh, tasty and perfectly chilled. Had the daily special of "Braised Beef Sliders" - fantastic! Properly braised beef on a fresh roll with avocado, pickled onions and a mayo based dressing - surprisingly light while thoroughly satisfying and accompanied by hot, fresh cut fries.
Service was friendly, welcoming and professional. Looking forward to a return visit!

We had lunch at Donaleigh's recently ... a large group celebrating an event. Our server was Rachel and she was outstanding. She took amazing care of our table while managing the rest of her section on a very busy Saturday.
Even though there were a lot of us, we had plenty of attention, drinks were produced and refilled almost instantly and we did not have to wait very long for our large and varied lunch order. Rachel handled it all brilliantly!
Everyone enjoyed their meals - no complaints! Everything was tasty and plentiful.
We all had a great time and will definitely be back!

We used to go to Danny's a lot when it was in Stroud. Went recently to the Barrie location and it was disappointing. I had the halibut and it was a very thin piece inside the batter. Nothing like previous visits. The coleslaw and tartar sauce now taste like they are out of a jar. You wait a long time for a table and its expensive, I expect better.
