As such, it's not a typical backpackers destination. The Candolim beach itself does not have much to offer when compared to its livelier neighbor, Calangute. However, if sunbathing and take the occasional dip is your thing then Candolim will offer you the perfect experience. One of the more interesting sights from Candolim beach is the bulk carrier ""River Princess"" which ran aground 100 metres offshore. While at the Candolim beach do not miss out the Aguada Fort. The fort was built by the Portuguese way back in 1912 for defense against the Dutch and the Maratha invaders. Candolim is aslo a very popular evening destination as it has a number of very good resteraunts and night clubs.

We went her about 4 or 5 times and always had a great welcome, the food was lovely and they streamed the rugby too which was the icing on the cake especially being welsh and winning the grand slam.Would definately recommend calling if your near beach road

We heard about this restaurant from a family friend and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The staff were very attentive. I ordered Beef Wellington and my husband a pork chop. An apperitive was brought to our table.The food took about 20 minutes to arrive but was worth waiting for. The presentation was perfect and the taste was just what I had hoped for.For desert I chose Pavlova.Thank you Gwen for your wonderful review. We are glad you enjoyed the meal and service and had a memorable experience at Amavi. We visited La Brise in September. We went there for our dinner. 1. Good food - tried both veg and non veg2. Perfect place to spend your evening by the beach. Good ambience3. Smiling service team. Though food delivery to table was slow, you don't mind that as you are here to relax and enjoy the breeze by the beach4. Overall a very good experience

This alfresco riverside restaurent at the Goa Marriott Resort is absolutely brilliant. The staff are eager to please and with an ambience so splendid every dinner is special. The seafood is the their speciality. Recommend the chicken tikka cafreal too.
