Best sunset and sunrise view villa on Mount Ijen area. Enjoy extra big size swimming pool with its pure natural spring water. Special designed room with ricefield view.
We loved our stay there. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they helped us organizing our visit to Ijen Crater. They also picked us up from the train station and dropped us to the pier with no additional costs. The area around the hotel is super nice. Food was was also good. The room we chose by the pool was very spacious and clean.

We visited Ijen Vulcano in Oktober 2017. A fantastic and amazing location with great view and staff. The food is delicious as well. Swimming Pool is great with unfurtunately only two beds. Worth to come and relax after visiting Ijen Vulcano.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while travelling across Indonesia. Accommodation was basic, but excellent value for the small amount that I paid. My double room did not have aircon, but the fan was sufficient. What really sets this place apart is how happy and friendly everyone is. Jojo arranged the Ijen tip for me (IDR 300k), and the guide that he chose to lead the group was excellent. I had to leave at 6am on my final morning, to get the flight to Bali. I had expected to miss breakfast due to the army start, but no, Mamika was up early and had it ready for me at 0530. Jojo then drove me to the airport for the same cost as a Grab driver. Main purpose for being in this area was to see the blue fire in Mount Ijen; there are many other things to do though, for instance watching the turtles lay their eggs, so I wish that I’d had longer. Jojo can give plenty of advice on the place that can be visited. If in the area again, this is where I would choose to stay.

My friends and i had a short trip in Banyuwangi and we found this homestay from the internet. We decided to booked and they said we could paid when we get there. We came at 6 am. Even though the check in should be at 10 am we weren't asked for extra charge. The room is comfy and very nice. We got 2 large towels, the bathroom is very clean, the bed is comfy and there are TV and AC. The owner is very nice. The surroundings is peaceful near train station, grand watu dodol and ketapang harbour. Also there are a shop that sells food and coffee from banyuwangi nearby and a cafe that is affordable but with delicious food. Definitely will come again if we go to banyuwangi.

Surf Camp Indonesia G-Land Joyos Surf Camp Indonesia G-Land Joyos is a magical place and one of the surfing world’s most increadible surfing destinations. For many surfers, its been a very special surfing site of primitive beauty and perfect waves. Secluded situated at Plengkung on the Southern tip of peninsula of Java is the legendary Grajagan. Arrived at Joyo’s early May 2022 for 9 nights. The surf didn’t disappoint and was consistently 3 to 8 feet and offshore. Staff were friendly and I met some great surfers from Oz and other places. The food was average at best. Before leaving Kuta buy as much dried fruit, nuts and chocolate as you can fit in your bag. No entertainment at night except drinking and tall tales so bring a good book. Wifi was intermittent. A communal tv would have been nice. As this was the end of the wet season mosquitoes and other insects were a problem. I was warned about this so brought 2 x long sleeved cotton tops and 1 x long cargo pants to wear after dusk. Plus 1 pair of long socks. Also roll on Aeroguard and Calamine Lotion (essential). No mosquitoe nets provided so bring one (along with a small ball of string to attach). Some guests turn the AC down to the minimum 16 degrees at night as mosquitoes don’t like cold air. Also your own beach towel as those provided are fairly worn. Keep cash to a minimum and use cards - 2m rupiah (AUD$200). On the way back to Kuta the boat broke down but managed to limp home on two outboard engines a few hours late. Boats out to the surf breaks at high tide are free which is a plus. Also the truck will take surfers down to Tiger Tracks and back free of charge. Despite a few issues overall I had a great time and met some great friends along the way. Remember - this is a surf camp.

We like getting off the beaten track so we’re up for a trip to Sukamade beach organised by Pak Poer of Raflesia Homestay. He and his family welcomed us to their home and the accommodation was adequate for the one night we stayed there. After a walk around the village and along the beach we visited the new homestay he is building on the edge of the village, not far from the beach. It will be amazing....4 large rooms with lovely en suite bathrooms....wow! Returning to Raflesia Homestay we were given a wonderful dinner including freshly caught poached lobster. Next morning we did a bicycle tour of the village, lunch then set off around 3pm for Sukamade beach in Meru Betiri National Park. The 2.5hr journey by 4WD covered just 15 kms but there was lots to see en route both of the jungle and the daily life of people living there. The trip included several river crossings...always fun. We made it to the guesthouse at Sukamade beach in time for dinner before an evening walk to the beach to see if there were any turtles laying eggs. Unfortunately the illegal lobster fishing boats had lights which confused the one turtle wanting to use the beach so she headed back to sea. Next morning, the beach was undisturbed so we released 10 baby turtles with fingers crossed and a prayer for their safe return in five years time The return trip to Rajagwesi was uneventful yet interesting. Note: There is no phone reception at the moment in Rajagwesi or the national park but the Homestay does have wifi.
