Back to the Hub again this morning. Enjoyed my big breakfast very much, especially the Cypriot sausage the name of which momentarily escapes me. My coffee was lovely too. Service was warm and friendly. The Hub is recommended.Four months earlierThis cafe/bistro used to be known as Over the Road until a major renovation a number of months ago. The space has undergone substantial change and some lovely modifications have been made. It's more modern, orderly and coherent. The gifts that used to be dotted around the place are gone and it's more spacious now and warmer. Today we ordered the egg and bacon focaccia with chili jam. It was very nice and made for a hearty lunch. We finished it off with coffees and a scientifically halved salted caramel cookie. The cookie belongs with the foods served to the angels in heaven. I felt significant psychological pain finishing my half. My coffee was ok but not one I'd include in a hall of fame. It's a nice place and some of the other dishes looked fantastic.

Ordered a BLT bagel and a kids pancake for my son - simple enough dishes. Pancake was half cooked sludge, and the blt - burnt dry bagel (had to repeatedly ask for some butter - which when it came was rock hard), poorly cooked bacon, the tiniest sliver of tomato, and heaps of nasty bitter lettuce. We ate very little of it, which the overbearing host saw but happily ignored.
