Ruth Healy has found the right recipe with her shop on the quays in Bandon. We had beautiful carrot and caraway seed soup with freshly baked spelt bread and there is a fabulous deli counter. We stop here every August to stock up on dried fruit for our Christmas puddings. Highly recommended.

We have been tripping around Ireland for the last two weeks and this restaurant is our favourite - and it is not even close.
- The food was delicious with enough variety to keep everyone happy. Loved the seafood selection
- The atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. The view over the bay while eating dinner is simply stunning. Nothing more enjoyable than good food with a good view.
- Most importantly the service is incredible. Our waitress for the evening was very helpful (even still answering my elderly father when he asked 20 random questions) and all around excellent service.
I would recommend this place to everyone who is passing within two hours as it is worth going out of your way to visit. Don't miss it!

Went to poachers this evening didn’t make a reservation although they were busy they did accommodate us as it was my dads 89th Birthday. The fish my father had was very good I had the chowder which was also good . I wouldn’t recommend the burger which my husband had , poor value for the price and wasn’t the best burger. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to eat in .

Paid a visit to Padraigin's last weekend. I had been there before but unfortunately I did not got the chance to go back sooner. There was one waitress taking orders but she was very attentive. Despite being busy our orders arrived in no time and the food was excellent. I had the steak burger,I would highly recommend this. All in all great food, great service. Well done!

Passed back this way today & unfortunately not good..... my friend had the chicken which was nice she said but I had the pork, which wasn't bad but I'm afraid the "veg" left alot to be desired......cold creamy potatoes my friend said & the "ratatouille " was missing the main ingredients....all sauce & no veg.....and we were in early
I suppose it was just a bad day so I would not be put off but at €11.50 for lunch it needs to be right.
Also was wondering about sign outside.....are they advertising for next Christmas???? They really should put daily specials on that.....it use to be Takeout dinners, now it's cakes for Christmas????

I had dinner here recently.
For starter I had crabmeat and sweetcorn soup which was delicious. For main I had chicken and prawn satay with chips which was a generous portion and very nice although I've had 'nuttier' satay. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding which was lovely.
The staff are very friendly.
Two points are 1) the music always seems to be the same and 2) if you arrive in the time the early bird menu is available the staff won't give it to you unless you ask for it specifically.

Dillon’s is a place to savour the best of modern Irish cooking in one of Ireland’s loveliest places. Gorgeous food is served up in a cosy restaurant that has quickly become established as a destination for fans of fine dining from around Ireland and beyond. The region’s fantastic produce, from pristine bays and rolling farmland, is cooked to perfection by chef Richard Milnes.

Nice old building in super location beside the river. Bar is small but pleasant, fire in evening. Staff are friendly and food is very reasonable, basic but big portions and tasty. House generally could do with a little TLC, some of the bedrooms are very worn.
