Trip of a lifetime

Reviewed By charlottedX6143ZA

Since I was very little, I have dreamed of going on a safari and Naledi was recommended to me as a great place to both view animals and enjoy a bit of luxury. Over the last week, I have seen things I may never see again. Stars so bright they light up the sky. Colours beyond what seems real. Healthy wild animals in abundance and living freely. The trackers were exceptional. Not only did they provide some fascinating information, but were dedicated to helping us find the animals we wanted to see. Black rhino and wild dogs were a highlight. And they positioned the vehicle with care so that we could all see well but without disturbing the natural behaviour of the animals. After dark, the way that they could spot nocturnal animals was beyond amazing. From my incredibly beautiful room, I could hear lions roar at night and watch the bush peacefully from the deck during the day. The room was kept immaculately with everything I could want. The food was delicious - just the right portions and flavours to die for. The staff were all highly in-tune with all the guests and very perceptively knew what everyone would want to make their stay special. Every mealtime was beautifully set, in different places, and was utterly perfect. I have learned about tracks, bush life and animal behaviours from the bush walks which felt both safe and exciting at the same time. Overall, Naledi helped me live my dream - it couldn't have been better. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone with a passion for nature and wanting to be treated with exceptional service.

Terrible Experience

Reviewed By KarenH6386

Recently stayed at this venue and would NEVER return. Not sure which photo's you used, but was nothing as luxious. No cooking facilities in our accommodation so had to drive our food and drinks over to the shared fire every evening. Camp was at least 30 mins VERY bumpy road from main entrance. Host was RUDE and unhelpful - food was awful and "take it or leave" breakfast menu. Venue was advertised as self drive safari, but we were told we could not do this and have to pay a fortune per person. Would not recommend this venue to anyone - only saving grace was location!

It was a truly unique and genuine experience. My only wish is that we had spent more than just two nights here.

The chef was truly a genius - the meals she did with extra special attention to dairy free was way beyond what we had expected. I know Our dairy free guest appreciated being able to eat the same as everyone else - and the dishes were flavorful and unique (we haven’t gotten the level of food for dairy free at the other places we’ve stayed). Nicholle was an amazing guide full of knowledge -and Polite was absolutely amazing as well, again everyone going way beyond our expectations, making our stay incredible!
