A few years ago I tried to have dinner at Il Giardino in Ubud but it was closed. On our last trip, I reserved in advance. Let me tell you, this place is GREAT! The setting is quiet and in a beautiful garden with a pond. The staff is very good as well. The menu is deep with all the Italian classics you crave! Early in our dinner, we heard sounds near our table only to find 3 ducks walking by. They have the run of the pace and are very friendly. I LOVE this place and would put it high on my Ubud list!

We had such a great time in this restaurant (Hippie Fish) everyone is such friendly and I don't heaven tell you about the food which is succulent. The restaurant is beautiful, they prepare music nights ponctually (jazz/blues etc..). Special thanks to Yuli for her smile, and to David for his special Gin'coktails (the butterflies one) because thanks to him we have traveled with his creation and to everyone who works here. Had pizza here and I think Iâll come back later this week too cause it was amazing. This cafe is a few kilometres out of Ubud central and we have already enjoyed their great food and service a few times. We have really both their Indonesian food and their pizzas. Definitely a place to have on your list for casual dining with very good service. Highly recommended.

Went along tonight swayed by glowing reviews on TA. Seated in quite lovely surroundings, albeit a little stiff and contrived to what would normally suit us. Given menus promptly and our ordered bottle of sparkling water. Considered our options, keen to order cocktails, but no service for such a long time that we reconsidered cocktails and settled on a bottle of wine, but again, no service- waited, waited, looked longingly - then called it quits, which is hard to do when you feel compelled to order and are keen to do so, but honestly how long do you wait before you say âenough is enoughâ. First off, what a gorgeous restaurant! It is so unassumingly located in Ubud's alleys amidst the several souvenir and art stores. It really does look like an adorable street cafe in a quaint European city with a really relaxing vibe. Second,they have air conditioning which is a huge bonus in Bali. Third, the food was excellent and drinks top notch as well. We ordered two pastas, both perfectly al dente and well flavored. I was surprised there was only one other party - perhaps they get busier for dinner.
