Things to do in Payangan
We wanted to see and take pictures of the rice fields and have something to drink. Cafe Dewi is perfect for both. The menu is extensive and my wife had an egg with fried rice, plus salad. Very good. I had a coffee drink with ice cream and that was good. The view of the rice fields is right in front of you. Harvesting was just starting so it was interesting.Service was a bit slow, but who cares. The prices were more than reasonable.

We took the chicken mayo wrap which was pretty tasteless and the ribs which were extremely chewy and we couldnât eat them. Restaurant wasnât particularly nice. Toilets werenât great either, loads of little flys round the wash hand basin making it unpleasant to wash your hands. It has the setting but so do a lot of other restaurants along the street.

This agro-tourism project is situated a few hundred meters from the Tegenungan Waterfall. We stopped there out of curiosity, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were met at the entrance by a young English speaking lady who showed us around the garden and the coffee bean roasting facility. There are two caged civets, the animals responsible for "processing" the famous Luwak coffee beans. The facility boasts a range of tropical tree species including coffee and cocoa. There is a small shop where coffee and tea can be sampled before buying. We tried a large range of coffees, teas, and chocolate before settling on what to purchase. In summary, the Kebune is something different. My family and I enjoyed the visit, and are now enjoying the products we purchased. Kopi Luwak is a must if you have not tried it before. We recommend the facility for anyone interested in tropical agriculture or just drinking tea or coffee. All in all a great family venue.

Being a solo traveller, stumbled upon this place while talking to some expats at a different local restaurant. Lo and behold, the food is professionally put together by who else but a professional chef! Local flavours too are featured of course, but the most pleasant thing here is a welcoming atmosphere that has got me returning often for the food and beers!(and the lock expat community is surely helpful to know!) Quality of the food is assured, and Friday is a pleasant surprise with Quiz night! The mee goreng is especially comforting when just having something simple!

Before my âAncient Sound Healingâ today I was having my welcome drink there and informed myself about the location. It is really comfortable there, they offer delicious chocolate and cake which you really need to ground yourself after those wonderful sessions. The staff is really helpful and just sweet. The Cafe is surrounded by a huge garden with the 2 pyramids in it. Just loved to sit there, especially after the healing session.Yes! You just understand our concept perfectly. It was always our intention to create a peaceful place to ground oneself pre or post Ancient Sound Healing session. And if you can have a cheeky slice of chocolate cake, why not?! Good for the soul we say! We look forward to having you back soon and you must try our carrot cake!- Good vibration from the Pyramids of Chi crew

The cafe here makes for a relaxed place to enjoy the gorgeous views whilst eating a tasty & reasonably priced lunch. Service is friendly (if a little all over the place) & so is the resident dog.

After trekking the Rice Terraces for 90 minutes we emerged completely exhausted, hot and sweaty so needed a nice cold drink. We decided to call into Teras Padi Cafe for a nice cold sprite, good views from the cafe which overlooks the Rice Terraceâs.Staff polite and friendly, food that was being served looked very good, shame we werenât ready for dinner as we would have eaten here.

The views, as many others have noted, are excellent here. Looking out past your table at the gardens and jungle don't get old. Our food arrived quickly, which was a plus as we were tight on time, and it was all quite good. The juices were delicious and worth their own mention. I'd definitely recommend it for a memorable experience.
