Reviews on Asian food in Canggu, Bali, Indonesia. Canggu is a coastal village and 10 km beach on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 kilometers north of Kuta, and presents a much more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities. The main Canggu streets are Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Padang Linjong, Jalan Batu Mejan and Jalan Tanah Barak. Along Jalan Batu Bolong you find the temple of the dead, Pura Merajapati, and the Pipitan Cemetery. Along the beach there are two main temples, Pura Batu Bolong and Pura Batu Mejan, which are both hundreds of years old and were initiated for building by Dang Hyang Nirartha. The Canggu area used to have scenic views of paddy fields and coconut groves but current rapid developments are quickly replacing these traditional views with private villas.

So my colleagues and I went to Fat Mermaid for lunch. I ordered Gado - Gado which tasted awful. I think they didn't put peanut in the sauce, instead they put too much tamarind. My colleagues' food was average. The fried rice is tasteless. We gave it a second chance, went there for dinner. IDR125k ++ for such tasteless Aglio Ollio. Three of us ordered chicken teriyaki n all tasted weird. Two of them were too salty and the other one was too sweet. The Mermaid noodle tasted funny. The bolognaise, french fries and steak were alright, not all of them were bad. I came here to see the Balinese dance performance and then wooooowww.. spectacular show i love the sound of the music, movement of the dancer so uniq. its traditional they call it gamelan. The food here was fantastic... served in dragon plate and taste so so delicious... Tugu was always perfect.

Small place owned by a nice Russian guy. Very good atmosphere with a good playlist.We had some drinks and appetizers, everything was perfect! We recommend this place for an apero, or a nice dinner (even a romantic one!).

Itâs a boutique cafe that offers really good food. Their selection isnât as much as the other cafes but the quality is definitely up there! The staff are very warm and helpful. They take note of allergies and dietary preferences, which is a really thoughtful touch.First time we came here, we ordered breakfast. I had a gluten-free PB&J and my husband had their cobb salad. Both were amazing!A few days later, we went back to have something light to eat before our massage. I just ordered a coconut water and my husband tried their ramen noodle soup and it was soooo good! It was so good I had to ask the chef (and owner) if I can possibly order the broth on the side. No hesitationsâhe had it heated and served it without extra charge! Sensorium is like a juicy secret thatâs hard to keep.
