Run down. Shabby and musty. Furniture ancient. Barely space for 4adults in the so called ‘open plan kitchen, dining and longe areas. Appliances old. Website said that there was a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. We didn’t carry food hoping to eat there. On calling the owner he insisted that there was never a restaurant on site. We had to leave immediately. Drove 150 km back home. Most annoyed. Overgrowth on the path to the lodge scratched my brand new vehicle. Pissed off.

Found a real gem of a rustic place to stay close to Nottingham Road in Natal Midlands - excellent location for golf at Boschoek and Gowrie Farm. Good clean rooms with large communal kitchen and entertainment area. Mike is an excellent host and many places to eat and drink close by. Close to Micheal House school and set in beautiful gardens with lake and natural forest on grounds. Excellent for groups of up to 8 for golf tours. Pet friendly

You can walk from the Bosch Hoek Golf Course to the Lodge. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated with ample space. The highlight is lying on your bed gazing across a field of cows. Tranquility at it's best. The staff were attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Then the “moos“ of Nguni cattle bring you back to the Natal farm landscape. Each AfriCamps tent consists of an outdoor wood-fired hot tub or splash pool, a spacious open plan lounge area with a comfortable couch, a dining area with a solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that comfortably sleeps five guests, and a bathroom complete with a hot shower, flushing toilet, and washbasin. The property is graced by the crystal clear Mpofana river which flows strongly through the farm. As part of a water scheme, the river also provides water to the farm. A hollowed-out section in the river is a great spot to go for a dip or enjoy the river from the banks by settling down for a picnic. Guests can enjoy a 4 km walk through the indigenous forest where they will see the enormous 500-year-old Yellowwood tree, pass the river, the newly planted kiwi fields, and Nguni cattle. The Midlands Meander route is popular for the relaxed atmosphere, picturesque countryside and welcoming people. Here you will experience a variety of stunning nature, adventure activities, South African history, local crafts and delectable country-style food spots.
Perfect getaway for a family with two young children! The camp was a comfortable, cost effective base from which we could explore the beautiful Midlands and all it has to offer. Having the hot tub was awesome - for the adults and the kids - and we loved the play area and walk in the forest.

What a beautiful place to stay, with such attention to detail. We had a wedding close by and needed somewhere to stay over and this was the perfect place. The hostess was very accommodating and sent us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. Wish we could have spent more time there.
