not easy to find, as it is outside Baiona, in Baredo village, at 5 Km of Baiona. the Duran brothers, red haired, have gained a great reputation of quality at good price. Now, after Paco Durán left to open his own restaurant with his name in Baiña, his brother and sons attend the tables, while his wife is at the kitchen. Their top quality fish, seafood, rices, good Deserts and a good offer of wines at very good prices make the place highly recommendable.

This one is located in a quiet street 2-300 meters up from the main bar/restaurant street.
They serve seafood, meat dishes and tapas.
We had mixed seafood and salmon on prawns with the housewine. Very good.
Prices around average.
A few tables outdoor on the entrance side.
An ok place to visit and dine.

We’ve visited the Mendoza many times and have always been treated to superb service and excellent food. Love the medallion of buey, the gambas, potato bravas. Great wine selection too.
One thing you must try is the Flan de Queso. A special in-house production. Very creamy!
Love this place and highly recommended as the best in Baiona!

I've been in bayona a few times already and always same ending, the best place to go and eat excellent seafood (octopus is absolutly great), is El Balneario. Not just for the quality of the food, but for the service (David is incredible and will make you feel at home).

I visited this restaurant last Sunday with my family and parents.
We booked a table for 9pm and were the first to arrive, (which was expected). The restaurant however filled up over the next 2hrs.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the restaurant, (particularly the toilets) were exceptionally clean.
My wife and I had the mixed seafood platter which was very extensive, tasty and well presented. My parents shared a sea bream which they informed me in true low key, don't like to complain British style was apparently a touch on the dry side.
We had a couple of bottles of wine, coffees and a few desserts plus starters of salt cod, (VERY) salty though a generous portion, and the fried cheese - excellent.
The bill was reasonable rather than fantastic value.
I was a decent experience but not ground breaking and we visited primarily because we were only staying just up the road.

Situado en Baredo (Baiona - Pontevedra), al pie de las rocas, nuestro restaurante le permite disfrutar de unas vistas panorámicas inigualables de las Islas Cíes mientras degusta marisco fresco y de calidad, del mar a la mesa.
We had a late lunch at this restaurant on the advice of the Parador de Baiona where we were staying. It was only a little over a mile up the road, great parking, very nice menu and great service. We had a wonderful table right by the window with a panoramic view of the ocean. If we are ever in that area again, we would not hesitate to visit this restaurant again.

An interesting restaurant, quite unpretentious at first glance. The Patron was so laid back he was almost horizontal. However the choice of food was not great, In fact quite a reserved choice. It was presented to you in some instances still alive. But the end result was delicious, one of the best seafood meals I have ever tasted. With a great choice of wines, this restaurant is not to be missed Not the cheapest but certainly well worth trying.

Came to this place following our visit to the Parador Conde de Gondomar hotel visit. We were walking down the street and saw this restaurant which we thought looked good and decided to sit down after viewing the star ratings... well, disappointed!!! Actually very disappointed.... I missed a good meal in Galicia! Unacceptable. This place has absolutely no quality in food, not tasty and for me, I even left most of the dishes intact! The shrimp with squid garlic style is one of the simplest plates of the Spanish cuisine... how could they possibly get this wrong??? Instead of olive oil, they used butter in the casserole... simply disgusting. The piquillo peppers were ok, simply ok... I also had the grilled baby squid and these were as lame as they could be... no flavor and very bad seasoned! My wife had the beed which was also well... do not want to remember this place... then to top it off, the traditional crepes were, well, the worst ...
avoid this place period!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by Robert at the Hotel Arce which is only a few yards away and we enjoyed it so much that we went back the following evening. The atmosphere is lively but relaxed and the restaurant is very popular with the local residents and is already filling up by 20:15 -20:30. The menu is varied and includes a very good and very rich pulpo con tetilla, tetilla being a regional cheese. I started drinking the Mencia a regional red wine but noticed that a lot of the locals were drinking wine served from a magnum sized bottle with a large "5" on the label and so I tried that. It turned out to be a very nice Ribera del Duero.
Service was very good.
