Reviewed By Stephann MThis was a very special experience; immaculately kept grounds, clean and beautifully furnished bungalows with private hot springs, a restaurant that serves great food and extremely friendly service (e.g. tips on access routes). If staying in a bungalow, you even get to use the public baths when closed to the public! Makes for a unique experience.

Bonito lugar, pero algo costoso.
Reviewed By P775YSmichaelvEs un lugar muy lindo, aunque le falta un poco de mantenimiento (nada grave) y está al menos a 20min de la urbanización. Hay una piscina funcionando, la otra no, y un jacuzzi, estaba sucio al inicio. No hay recepción para celular pero sí hay WiFi. En general está bien, caro pero bien.

Agutipaca Bungalows is a family project made with love 19 km away from Río Celeste. Our 4 bungalows are surrounded by nature, in a peaceful environment. We'll bring you breakfast to your bungalow (vegan, vegetarian, typical or our special) so that you can have it in private while enjoying garden views and the sound of the birds. There is a path on the property where you can see monkeys, toucans, other birds, sloths, butterflies, petroglyphs and giant trees, among others. We are located in the north of Costa Rica, between the Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes, in the town of Río Chiquito de Bagaces, Guanacaste province. We are 7 minutes from Río Naranjo and 15 minutes from Bijagua, where there are shops and restaurants. Perfect accommodation

The hosts are so warm and generous they really treat you like family and you can tell close attention has been paid to all the details to make the space as beautiful and comfortable as possible. They are a retired couple who I think may be doing this for the experience of meeting new people rather than a source of income as the quality of this accommodation is far higher than it should be for the price. This location is ideal as it is in a quiet calm place but only a short drive from a town and you can easily get to Rincon De La Vieja, Tenorio, Miravalles, and several hot springs. Flori was so kind she even lent us her own rubber boots and walking stick to do the hike at Rio Celeste. The food she prepared was delicious and always included a package of biscuits that was perfect for bringing on hikes. She also had a wealth of knowledge about local attractions that she was happy to share. The space is beautiful, breezy, colorful, immaculately clean, and filled with art and vases of fresh flowers arrangements from the garden. The beds were very comfortable, and the garden was filled with wildlife. We saw several different birds and monkeys from the comfort of our bright spacious room. The kitchen on the balcony was very convenient and we'll stocked. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was a shame to have to leave after only 3 nights.

Great little hotel close to Palo Verde National Park
Reviewed By TravelforbirdsI really enjoyed the night I spent here. The owner was very nice, and helped me find a safe taxi to the National Park. My room was spotless. The hotel is in a beautiful little courtyard. If you like wildlife, there is some pretty decent birding right within the property, and a little bird feeder too. There is a fridge you can use, and you can enjoy a nice coffee in the morning in the courtyard! For the price of the hotel, I give it full points for excellent value!
