Toller Abend vielen Dank.

This is a fairly small establishment, but absolutely worth visiting. I'll go back! We were in a group of about 20, and the service was still fast. Service is quick and polite, very friendly. the food was just outstanding. I had the pork medallions in Calvados sauce, along with spaetzle. Dessert was "Hot Love" (Heiss Liebe) which was warm raspberries on ice cream. I loved it. the spaetzle was the best other than home-made - far superior to many I've had in big restaurants. And as we were getting ready to leave, I had left my camera case on the chair while taking a few more pictures - they were very quick to point it out and make sure I didn't forget it. Personal service and great food - it doesn't get better.

They have good service at the Altes Rahtaus. Good beer, good flammkuchen. You see a lot of the locals enjoying a beer or dinner after work there, making it a comfortable place. Sometimes the music is very loud, sometimes the door is open, the staff are open to suggestions about changing those things.

It was an unseasonably cold October day as we finished a private 'town tour' with my wife's German relatives. We ducked into the Schweizer Hof and were warmly greeted and given a great table in the corner near the window where we could enjoy the quaintness from the warmth of the interior. We chose very traditional fare - beef with spatzle that was above 'average' (given that I've been to Germany many times and am not a huge fan of their traditional food). Portions were generous, tasty, and a lovely old traditional German restaurant in a lovely old traditional German village!

The staff here were friendly although they did not speak great English and the menus were not available in English either which is definitely something that is expected nowadays in most Touristic areas of Europe The meat is sourced locally as they have their own butchers The dumplings were nice with the mushrooms although the menu for vegetarians was very limited and very difficult for a dairy free option All in all the food is good here though
