Der Wagen ist mir schon gleich ins Auge gestochen, als ich bei einem Strassenfest zu Besuch war. Pizza wie Flammkuchen kommen aus dem selbstgebauten Steinofen und haben FABELHAFT geschmeckt.Besonders grosser Fan von dem vegetarischen Flammkuchen.. Einfach lecker!!Wenn ich das nächste mal in Freiburg bin komme ich auf jeden Fall vorbei!

My wife's cousin frequents this restaurant often so we tend to go once a year when visiting "die alte Heimat". We're happy to do so because it's always very good. Nice atmosphere, a good menu, decent house wine. The folks who run Castello are Italian and that theme runs through the menu (although there are strictly German items (e.g. schnitzel) as well. They have a very nice, very traditional beef carpaccio, for instance, and a good variety of pizza. I had a lovely rumpsteak with basalmico, rocquette and shaved parmesan on top, and the others spaghetti carbonara. Feldsalat "Grossmutter art" to begin (Can't get more German than that!). And of course espresso. A great restaurant, very popular, well worth a visit.

I'm italian and I find ice cream in south germany quite good in general, apart that every flavour has vanille aroma since germans love it. but here this is not the case, stracciatella is great, based on fiordilatte ice cream with rich dark chocolate pieces!!

Wir sind Stammgäste wenn wir auch nicht jede Woche hier einkehren. Die Qualität immer die selbe, einfach top, eine geniale authentische Italienische Küche. Das Ambiente sehr schön. Roberto ein perfekter Gastgeber!! Was will man mehr. Wir können auf jeden Fall dieses Restaurant bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich !!!!!

Pizzeria Rustica's new location (I think they used to be next door if I'm not mistaken) is in a fully restored old barn/warehouse, and is a beautiful, open and airy space. The main room is large and can get noisy when crowded, but there is also a nice smaller room through the interior sliding barn door that we prefer. It also has a very large terrace with a LOT of seating, however, it lacks ambiance and is really just a concrete patio. Some additional landscaping/potted plants, etc., would soften the terrace.The food itself is excellent, and provided in reasonable quantities. We've eaten at many pizzerias and Italian restaurants throughout Germany over 15 years of traveling there, and this ranks up there as one of the best for food in my opinion. Service was attentive and professional and we had no complaints on any of our several visits.The location itself is just outside the old town, and is a short and easy walk from most of the old town/center hotels. There is also plenty of free parking in their (smallish) lot and on the streets nearby.

This is a great restaurant to enjoy a family night with good italian food. They have very good pizza and always a seasonal offer for pasta and meat. Which means: spring they do have asparagus, autumn/end sommer mushroom sauce, etc. We went there each time we go to Breisach and enjoy our food, the friendliness of the waiters and the nice terrace. The tiramisu is very good as well! One of the best place to eat in Breisach (relax dinner)
