Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Schmiegs Remsbesen in Winterbach. Ohne Reservierung geht gar nichts. Unsere Bedienung war supernett, dennoch hat es ewig gedauert, bis wir bestellen bzw. am Ende bezahlen konnten. Das Essen an unserem Tisch kam wild durcheinander, zwischen dem ersten und dem letzten Hauptgericht lagen mehr als 30 Minuten. Geschmacklich war es zudem nicht wirklich gut.

Three of us enjoyed superb, mainly local food. The service was very good and the staff made some excellent and informed recommendations regarding wine and food. From the outside the restaurant looks a little less welcoming than it might, but once inside the surroundings are clean, more modern than many German restaurants, light and airy with plenty of room between the tables to make the experience more personal and intimate if required.

Ein schöner Tag sollte ausklingen mit Freundinnen. Wir wollten in den Geburtstag hinein feiern, nur ein Gläschen trinken.Dies sagte ich auch gleich beim eintreten in das Lokal, da wir sehen konnten das nicht soviel los war. Es kam kein Einwand. Wir betstellen eine Flasche Wein und nach ca. 30 Minuten kam der Kellner und meinte doch wirklich das er nicht länger offen lassen kann, es sei ja nicht viel los und ist unter der Woche.Warum sagt er es denn nicht gleich, dann wären wir wo anders hingegangen.Schade, Schade...

We happened to drive by this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. What a good decision it was. We had a lovely dinner with only local dishes (schnitzel, spätzle and a salad) and the local wine that was recommended was fresh and light and flavourful. The local desert of which I have forgotten the name was a fortunate discovery. I highly recommend this restaurant for its qualitative dishes, friendly service and reasonable prices.
