Even though this restaurant has been open for at least 3 months, there are still issues that need to be ironed out. The service/staff are a bit disorganized. One person doesn't know what the other is doing, and requests such as a bottle of water or the wine list are forgotten. The kitchen also seems to be in disarray. I walked by the open kitchen and there seemed to be a little bit of chaos and smoke coming from an oven. This resulted in a filet being over-cooked and well past "medium". The wait person gladly replaced the filet but my friend had to wait 10-15 minutes. There are meats from different countries, for example, from Ireland and the US. But, they offer only one cut (filet, or flank, etc) from each of the different meats. So your choices are actually very limited. The wine list is also very limited. There were wines from different countries (Germany, France, Italy, etc) but only a selection of 1 maybe 2 from each country. Most of the wines were also quite obscure. They definitely to need to take care of these small details to make the drive to the restaurant worthwhile.Dear Ninodebalia, thank you for your Review here on tripadvisor.I am very sorry that you felt dissatisfied during your stay at our new Restaurant which was opened in November 2016. The smoke which came out of the oven is absolutely normal and arty. This oven is our brand new Beef craft with about 800 degree Celsius. So don´t worry. I am also sorry for our small wine list which contains only about 30 different bottled wines from all over the world. I hope you give us a second Chance.Your Daniel

Nice german restaurant with beergarden and homemade sausage. Homemade german and swabian food, cooked by owner self.
Mfg Alex

We had ribeye steaks and Pom Frits. We also tried a local favorite colaweizen. Heffeweisan with cola. Yummy. The service was excellent. Food as well. German menu only. Highly recommend

With every surface covered in mountain-themed kitsch, helpful owners and mouth-wateringly amazing food - this was very good value for money. We had a couple of wheat-beers and some steaks, and the bill was roughly 30 euros. The owners were attentive and helpful, giving us an English menu and advising us on the best options for dinner. Steaks are cooked in front of you on the char-grill fire in the middle of the restaurant, and come with a variety of special homemade herb-butters and salsas. *Note - the best way to find this place is to look out for the large Kaminstub'n House on the bend of a mountain switch-back. The steak restaurant is around the back of the switchback, while the parking is in front, just over the road from the restaurant - best look it up on google before you do the drive, as out SatNav overshot it by 1km.
