We stopped here while on the road, with no reservation and on Easter Monday (!!!), just hoping for luck. And kick it was! Although all tables were booked out, the owner let us use a table at the entrance, which I don't think they normally use for guests. Service was very friendly, way above normal standards for the region. The food is typical southern German style, very well done with high quality ingredients. For the sunny and warm days, they have a spectacular garden/terrace, which we could not enjoy as it was pouring. Definitely a great place, especially for families!

We were in the Wangen/Lindau area for a week and ate here twice! It is simply that good. The food is fresh and delicious and the portions are generous. I'm not sure what the secret is for their potatoes but they are addictive and their lamb chops were wonderful. The second time we went we brought most of the family including kids: ages 2.5, 12, 14 and everyone loved their meals. Not an easy task pleasing 11 people in one meal but they did it easily! The service is great and very friendly, not your usual German service. ;) Their homemade ouzo is fantastic and a nice way to finish our meal. We could not have been more satisfied. we are staying at Center Parcs, went into Leutkirch for dinner. The Akropolis is easy to find, has excellent food and service with very helpful staff and a menu in English if required. Cannot recommend highly enough, will return before leaving Germany.

So ganz hat mich das Lokal nicht überzeugt.Es liegt im Hinterland, man muss erst mal hinfinden.Eher bodenständig, was Essen und Getränke angeht.Erstaunt hat mich doch die etwas ruppige Art des Service.
