We really enjoyed our stay there. Yum burgers (good value) and extra yum cocktails (although we personally had mocktails that were yummy too). The owner is a sweetheart. Very friendly. Good location to hang out with friends etc.Thank you SydneyPerla. Glad that you liked it :-)!

After being in Schwäbisch Hall for several months the visit at OHSO was the first culinary wow-experience. Finally a restaurant that respects local products and interprets those products in a new way. The décor of the restaurant, the service are in line with this idea - to-the-point, efficient and friendly. I felt properly taken care of â however the huge surprise is Simonâs innovative, simple and tasty kitchen. There are just 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts on the menu. However the choice remains difficult as there are so many interesting options. Even simple dishes like the mixed salad turn out to be full of surprises â I sticked to the vegetarian options (salads of beans âSchwarzaugenbohnenâ and roll from potatoes âKartoffelrouladeâ) and have been rewarded with a bouquet of great flavors. What I found so surprising is game of flavors and textures â there is a young master in the kitchen. I hope that Simon and his team will continue to have success and delight guests in this pretty town and that I have the chance for more visits in the future.Dear Michael H,it is very pleasant to read all your kind words and the detailed description of your experience at our restaurant. The Alte Wache is a cafe that also serves lunch. It's in a great location right in the centre, the lunch was really cheap and absolutely delicious and there was superb service. Highly recommended!

Nice place if one can enjoy a coffee or a cake between glass and concrete walls. Not my style, cause I prefer open spaces, with beautiful, natural view..Anyway, a very clean and modern environment, very friendly and professional staff. German style. Smiling faces, clean furniture and dishes, decent prices. As far as I am concerned, everything there is high-quality, except the location.
