Exemplary service and wonderful food shared with friends. It is a handsome mix of Scandinavian styles with international ingredients: we found the ingredients to be very seasonal indeed; with game, fall tomatoes, pumpkin and a wonderful baked Alaska. It definitely is approaching Michelin quality and we found price levels to be somewhat higher than in the other Europa Park restaurants but it had quality to match in execution, produce, service and environment. Highly recommended.

Bubba Svens

Scandinavian & international cuisine for the whole family. AHOY sailors! The restaurant ‘Bubba Svens’ embodies the character of an old boathouse, with striking sights waiting to be discovered. From the ceiling hangs the ‘Wiking Saga’, a legendary ship upo

We had a reservation and arrived on time, still we had to queue before being guided to our table. The swiss waiter, who took our order, was friendly and competent, something that cannot be said about some of his colleagues: Besides that we didn’t get any napkins, I had to ask four times for a glas for my bottle of mineral water. Took about 20min to get one. The interior of the new restaurant is quite nice, but the high ceilings make it pretty noisy. The german folk music playing in the “background” did not improve the situation and simply does not fit the nordic/maritime theme.Food was acceptable, but subpar to what we were used to from previous visits to other Europa Park hotels. The Viennese Schnitzel was pretty oily; the fried potatoes that came with the salmon too salty. Other than that, no real complaints, just a matter of taste: all the salads came with a sauce based on butter milk. Why not offer a simple Italian dressing as a choice? Why drown a tasty fish, such as salmon, in a mustard sauce?I might give the Bubba Sven a second chance next time I come to the park, but for now, I cannot rate it better than average.
