Reviews on Japanese food in Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Surrounded by one of Germany's largest wine-growing regions, Stuttgart beckons cultural junkies with its acclaimed ballet, opera and philharmonic, while auto fans get revved up over the Mercedes Benz Museum. There's more green space than urban sprawl in the festival-friendly city, home to Europe's largest zoo and botanic garden combo, the Wilhelma. The WÂrttembergisches Landesmuseum, in one of the city's oldest structures, traces area history from the Stone Age. Buses or subway provide handy transport.

Situated in fron of a huge parking house this atmpspheric restaurant offers tasty sushi at reasonable price. You can choose from a long menu or go for daily fixed menu with includes soups in adition to various types of sushis. This is not the best sushi restaurant I have ever visited but I will return for sure.

Nice ambiance but not authentic food and certainly the quality is not matching the first impression of the restaurant. Ordered salad, Sushi, Tempura Udon and desserts. Salad excellent, sushi mediocre, udon good but tempura overcooked, desserts fantastic. Condiments not of good quality. Red wine was off, but was replaced with a glass from a new bottle immediately. Very friendly service.Good restaurant if you know what to order... Would return but definitely not order Sushi.
We finally tried this all you can eat sushi & grill restaurant and it was great in my opinion for the Stuttgart area. We've eaten at many AYCE types of restaurants in Germany, the United States and Italy, and Mikomi was pretty good. You order from a tablet (5 orders/person every 15 minutes) and you get a time limit of 2.5 hours to eat. There is also a mini dessert bar area consisting of ice cream, fresh fruits, and donuts that is included in the price as well. The servers are friendly and speak English. We will be back!

Tastefully and with a big variety of different styles and arts of sushi.Rich taste and fresh ingredients, nice environment and polite people here.We found a table for 2 on a Saturday evening although we didn't have a reservation. All in all very satisfied with the place. If you can afford it take the chef's plate, it's pretty much everything included and you will enjoy it.

This was our third visit and the sushi is our favorite in the Stuttgart area. Place is very small and they don't take reservations and the line starts before they open. Well worth it. We will be back!

We went to this restaurant with a visiting friend, as we all love sushi and since we had heard so much good about this place we really wanted to try it. Unfortunately the experience could not live up to our expectations. We had to wait about 45min until being served, which seemed extremely long. We also did not have the impression the service really cared about our well being and satisfaction - no effort of giving the guest a good feeling by as much as a welcoming smile. After I had almost finished my sushi - that are ok, but nothing special really - we noticed that I had in fact a menu that included a miso soup to start with - which has never been served. Since I am not a huge fan of miso soup anyway and therefore had not even noticed earlier, I planned on pointing it out to the waiter and asking if I could instead have a desert. When I did he looked surprised, told me he was sorry and asked me if I wanted to have my soup now. I explained my idea and he simply refused. No option of paying a difference or getting anything else, even cheaper. (I later learned I was not the first one in this uncomfortable situation.) Since I did not want to have the soup after the sushi I had to pay the menu entirely anyway and left without eating a desert. The entire evening - no smile from any of the staff, even though we really tried to get them to smile back at us. Alltogether I was super disappointed and wonder how with this kind of service and food that is only ok, they keep having a full restaurant. We went there partly for the good reviews on trip advisor but our experience showed us a different picture. So here we go and try correct the list of reviews a little with ours. We are not eager to return there anytime soon, hoping any of the staff read this and take it as a hint to rethink the service attitude, since right now there are quite some concurring restaurants doing a better job.

This is a true hidden champion: Nothing fancy, just honest Japanese home style cooking. They also offer Okonomiyaki - not so easy to find in Germany. Super friendly and supportive service, authentic cuisine and delicious food at fair prices. Wonderful!

I've been there few times on Valentines, my birthday, normal day, have no complain so far. Love the sushi so much, it is not spacious so you should have booked a table before you go, but everything there cozy and tasty. The hot sake is fabulous. Highly recommended for sushi lovers

GenieÃen Sie bei uns leckeres Sushi und Sashimi in ausgezeichneter Qualität. Mit viel Liebe für den Gast zubereitet. Lassen Sie sich bei uns verwöhnen.
If you like tasteful sushi in different combinations then that's the place for you.In the pros, there is a big variety of combinations with different kinds of fish, everything made at that moment just for you. The people are really nice and the place is clean. Rice tastes good, not too salty as in most places. In the cons I would like to mention the long time for the preparation (although the place wasn't full) and the big size of the sushi which made it difficult to eat with the chop sticks.Sushi is an expensive pleasure, this place is a little bit more than that.Otherwise we were delighted und probably will visit again.
