We had half board as guests at Kreuz-Post and enjoyed a four corse dinner at the inhouse restaurant. The meal was good and satisfying, but maybe without the elegance or extravagance you might like to have when dining out. The recommended white wine (a Grauburgunder, i e Pinot Gris) was a perfect match to the food we had. The premises are in the typical old German style, but in very good shape and the service was without faults.

This small restaurant offers great food using high quality local produce. Excellent wines offered as well. It is located in a lovely village in the Kaiserstuhl area, about 15 minutes drive from Breisach, a town in Baden on the Rhine.I believe that it is accessible by local bus as well.Rooms are available for overnight stays.

Another year has gone by since my last review. This time, we went mid week, rather than at the weekend, and enjoyed the alternative main course of Rindfleisch mit Meerrittisch (beef with horseradish sauce) and Brägele (fried potatoes), which was excellent, as was the service that went with it.

Very reach menu although not complicated at all. Service was very good. Parking is a bit complicated. You have to be creative.

Down-to-earth, badisch-alsatian cuisine: the best of the simplest. The âWinzerhaus Rebstockâ is a typical Kaiserstuhl eatery. Good times with others come naturally in this 200 year-old restaurant with its lovely wooden furniture and a beautiful courtyard.
Perfect restaurant to experience local regional specialties The Spargel in the springtime is a don't miss. The staff is sooo friendly and knowledgeable Take their suggestions for food and wine and you will not be disappointed.Great wines at great prices.

We stopped here to have lunch before buying some wine from one of the nearby wine producers not really knowing what to expect. The menu offered a set menu or a la carte. Two excellent salads were followed by a two equally good main courses, the rolled steak was of the finest quality and the fish with noodles perfectly cooked. Finished with a home made Apple Strudel. The wine list looked very good value, as we were tasting afterwards it was a 'sensible' lunch. Very good value for this standard of ingredients and cuisine. It may be off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

Unfortunately we learned about this great place too late and stayed somewhere else. However, we weren't going to leave without enjoying breakfast on their panoramic patio overlooking the hills and vineyards below. The breakfast buffet is delicious and we especially enjoyed the eggs cooked to order. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and next time we will be sure to stay here as well. Unbelievably quaint and beautiful location.

Had lunch here during the wine festival and if you are looking for good local food, this place is it. Not cheap lah. The mushrooms were in season so I opted for that, family had Zander and meat filet. All very good. However.. Local food uses a lot of butter and salt. I can therefore recommend the walnut digestif afterwards. And if you can, climb the Schlossberg behind.
